Absolutely gutted to hear they’re packing up after this year (that’s if it goes ahead.) But the Great Central Railway in quorn put up a good show every year around June though. It’s called “Wartime Weekend” another one of my favourite weekends of the year.

I went on the Saturday, and coming from sunny hartfordshire all I had on was some trousers and a T shirt. Didn't I regret that quickly. However I must admit I thought the rain made those displays a lot bit more realistic, I did like your Burma one shame I didn't know it was you.

+Harry B Quite so, likewise unprepared, at least with historical clothing, I've yet to purchase a monsoon cape! Glad you liked the display, next time you'll know.

Good news! We technically do have one, 'Kokoda42'. Run by Queensland Living History Federation groups '2/25th AIF Battalion' and 'Gi Inc.'. From first hand experience I can say it is a great weekend! It looks to be growing as well.
