Today is the 54th memorial ceremony of my beloved grandfather, a brave soldier of the Vietnamese North Military who sacrificed in 1968 in a battle with the American army. I'm touched to watch this video and hope you guys understand all of the mass pain, sorrow, and loss that my family and millions of other families in this country have had to suffer from after the war. We are grateful and proud of him and other heroes who contributed unconditionally to the independence of Vietnam nowadays. Hats off to them!

USA's lost about 50000 soldiers during this war. And you say "i'm glad we lost". My so called american patriotic friend - i have a question for you. Are you READY and WILLING to knock at every single door of every single house of every single family of those soildiers and tell their relatives the very same thing? Hm? Will you have the same courage to tell this to their faces? Oh and don't forget to make this good food remark again. And i'm not of american origin either. At late 80's they've brought my uncle's body from Afganistan. He was a good man and he didn't deserve to die like that. And should i EVER hear from anybody anywhere - that they're glad we lost that pointless war - i'd honestly killed that person. With my own two hands. To hell with jail. But then again USA's about tolerance and progressive culture now, guess i can't blame you that hard now can i? "I'm glad we lost" - shame on you.

One of my Japanese relatives was stationed in french indochina and he was surprised that a communist guerilla group resisted the army until the the surrender of Japan and was even shocked that Vietnam had beaten the French But for me I wasnt surprised my German dad told me that after ww2 Germany had crushed the French economy and army making them totally weak for an colonial power
