For the casual vinyl LP fan, it really isn't so bad. Obviously, the 'vinyl forever' guy who is spending lots of money on hard to find records is going to be willing to invest a lot more money. But for someone who just wants a little nostalgia now and then, this should work alright for them.

Plug your add on computer speakers...into the the earphone jack..and you WILL have bass..and it will surprise you!...:) It will sound as good as they sound on your computer...

If you just have to buy a turntable get a Fluance RT82. It will cost more than the Audio Technica but you wont regret it as much as if you bought a really good digital disc player and a decent amp and speakers.

I don't know if it's good or bad because I haven't heard of it before. all I can say is that my nirvana nevermind record is kinda fucked after playing it the first time. I have the same record player and I’m having issues... When the record begins to spin all of my BRAND NEW records seem to be skipping. They aren’t warped and they aren’t scratched. I notice that when the record spins it looks like a wave almost. I figured the actual turntable isn’t level but I don’t know how to resolve the issue... any advice?

Would not recommend. My girlfriend got me this because she read it has good reviews, if you actually want to take advantage of the purpose of vinyl then don't get this. I would not recommend this unless you want it as a novelty.

I really wanted to love this record player but damn it does it sucks… The sound quality is so poor and the speakers are so weak. I like the layout and the functionality aspect of it but that’s where the good parts end. I found a nice mid 80s mid range Sony player at a pawnshop for less than this thing cost me new and the sound quality is so much better.

dont buy these suitcase style players. for the same price, you can buy the "pro" version with full supporting platter, adjustable speed, tunable settings, weight adjustment of the cartridge, ability to change the cartridge, a pre amp built in, etc, etc. made by the same company, just better in every way. these are toys. the playing mechanism is worth about 2 dollars. the suitcase is built around a very cheap mechanism. the better ones are built much better in every way, just not as cute looking, more professional looking and sound 10 x better

what everyone needs to know is not to buy this is ruins records and it is very cheap and the speakers are junk and very little volume and not good sound the turntable is very cheap and all plastic construction and the amp is cheap and I would not connect this to anything other then a car rear fender to drag it in the street and destroy it . I have fixed vintage and current audio and get these more then anything because this is very cheap and I would never use good records on it the pressure is way too heavy and the needle and cartridge are cjunk it is all made of crap from china or japan so that says that it is mass producded and no pride of worksmanship and this is junk nothing ood about it at all anyone thinking about this do not get used vintage components from ebay or a vintage console or potable tube system with an all metal made turntable and the sound is garbage and this is not worth anything and is a poor excuse ofor a machine that is called a turntable this is not worth 80 dollars you overpayed by a great deal of money it is worth at best 20 dollars

Why you reviewing cheap chinese plastic crap!! Is it a wind up? They are not good quality turntable at overtime they warped the record because they're Wight cartridge of the tonearm. The Wight of the tonearm weigh over 5 grams which is could damage the grooves. And the wow and flutter speeds is way off. Only thing I can't stand people brought these Chinese cheap crap record player and the put on the valuables records and reissues records what a dumb idea !!!! Your on acid monks mate !!
