Victron VenusOS UPGRADE v3.31 | Raspberry Pi 3 and Pi 4

Don’t update until you watched this! Victron did Release a new version of their VenusOS 3.31. We will upgrade together to the latest version on my Raspberry Pi 4B and Raspberry Pi 3B+.

General
• Fix a bug that can cause the onscreen UI to show a green square as well as Remote Console locking up. This issue was introduced in v3.30.
• Fix EVCS firmware updates over VRM failing on fast network connections.
• User interface: fix alarm icon showing while there is no alarm, issue was introduced in v3.30
• User interface: remove DESS Minimum SOC menu entry, since that is now configurable on the VRM portal rather than in the GX menu structure.
• Dynamic ESS: fix bug where PV from grid-inverter was fed back into the grid rather than used to charge the battery, in certain conditions.
• VM-3P75CT Energy Meter: fix power readings not properly available when using multiple of these energy meters on the same VE.Can network.
Venus OS Large, signalk-server:
• Update signalk-server from v2.5.0 to v2.7.1. Change log: github.com/SignalK/signalk-se....
• Update signalk-venus-plugin from v1.34.0 to to version 1.34.1, which fixes a rare crash. Change log: github.com/sbender9/signalk-v....
Developer related
• FlashMQ, an internal tool: update from v1.9.1 to v1.11.0 as well as allow empty usernames. Allowing empty usernames fixes certain MQTT clients not being able to login as well as other tools that used to work up to Venus OS v3.20 but didn't since we switched to FlashMQ. • Add mosquitto_pub and mosquitto_sub clients to the standard toolset on Venus OS.

Thanks for the video. So update process with GUI Mods is to first update the Venus firmware to 3.31, then update GUI Mods?

Thanks as always . With the new beta gui is it possible to control all the relays on your Pi hat? I see that Kevin W. Setuphelper package is only compatible with the existing gui and that a re-write would be required for the new beta gui .

Tobi have you had any luck with calibrating the HDMI touchscreen running Venus OS on a Pi yet, mine works for one swipe then stops working, everyone seems to use the Ras Pi screen with the display port connected to the Pi and this seems to work, but HDMI screens don't work properly?

Unfortunately not. I might try the Pi display to confirm but it is working better

Tobi i updated the Venus Os from 3.32 to 3.33 but GUI Mods do not work (i made the updates from package manager)

Is there a way to backup your system settings? Got a failure on my sd and lost all settings.😢

I see it's got a GUI-v2 (BETA) in the menu. When I load it I get a message "Error loading the WebAssembly" Have you tried using it? Got the same problem?
