Imo I think the fights between August & Bourland he didn't have any happy feet in his most recent bout. He overall looked more comfortable moving around the ring. Watch the first Woodley fight & the Bourland fight, it's night & day. Can Jake hang with Viddal? No, but I would like to see Paul fight someone on the level of Viddal's opponents. That would give us a true gauge.

I think it would have been nice to rate him relative to some specific professional boxers, e.g., Tommy Fury, or even some of your past opponents like Taj. I think the key thing people need to realize is Jake has a big mouth and he's ambitious, and neither of these are bad. I don't think there's any realm he really competes with Viddal, at least anytime soon, or unless Viddal has a serious break from boxing for a few years. -- I would be more interested in the comparison being made with Viddal's previous opponents rather than with Viddal himself. -- There's levels to it, and as far as I'm concerned, Jake is a fairly low level professional boxer, and Viddal is much more experienced and much higher level. So unless you are a computer algorithm or just being intentionally obtuse then there's no pragmatic reason to make the comparison for a long time.

All things considered Jake and Viddal aren't as far apart as people think. Viddals edge is with his amateur experience, nearly 50 fights over Jake. In the pros they have both faced similarly experienced opponents with similar records albeit, Jakes opponents being older. But considering Viddal has had 50 fights over Jake and 15 years more experience, the disparity isn't what it should be. Jakes progress dwarfs Viddals and if his trajectory carries on, they could have a very competitive fight. As of now Viddal obviously wins, but he could be taken to a decision, who knows.
