Finally I have found a beginner video series using blender. I‘ve watched the beginning of video number 5. And the way you describe seems to be good to follow 🤗 I‘m dental technician. Have been a course instructor for over 20 years. My hobby is 3D printing. But my skills in CAD design are still very basic. While writing this I‘m watching the video. Very impressive.

What you do is awesome. I took jewlery in college we worked with silver a lot and design but it was all CAD. Now as a hobby I love designing jewelry and while I can Create a cad file and a vector for my jewelry I can't make it into a 3d mockup because blender isn't a strong point. Do you have a tutorial on turning a vector into a charm for example? In my mind it was going to be easy. Import svg. Extrude add either bevel or round it a bit and then texture it with a good backdrop and lighting and br good to go. Doesn't seem that simple now that I'm in blender.

how did you move the whole ring at 33:00 minutes without the diamonds going crazy because of the cube linked with the array

At 32:35 I do a "Convert to Mesh" shortcut (we can see when the ARRAY modifiers disappears very quickly) on the diamonds (I have the old ALT+c shortkey set like in older versions of BLENDER).

What's the purpose of the holes on the inside of the ring other than collecting soap and dust?

They also collect grease 😄🤣💎 and that grease holds the stones 🤣🤣🤣 obviously joking. Nope, these mighty holes were born to bring light to the gemstones in their full glory. But ironically end up just like you've discribed them. But then, that's also why jewellery needs to be cleaned. Maintenance!

I have a question, sir. You made objects to make the bricks with marbles. I'm using not a very high-end computer so when there are too many faces and vertexes, it's really slow to render it. So I prefer to use shaders to optimize my render speed. Cos it doesn't increase the number of the vertex and face. And here's my question. Why didn't you use brick shader or texture? thank you for your tutorial. and you solved my very long term question in blender. like the reflections of a diamond. Your tutorial is really helpful and it makes my future as a jewelry visualizer dream more bright and vivid. All good luck to you!

I design forseeing the manufacturing process. In real life, I must cut the marbles in blocks, so I design in it in 3D. Too many designers out there, too few know the soul of jewellery.

Followed up to 35mins as accurately as possible, everytime I try Voxel remesh it completely crashes my laptop and I have high end processors?

Hi, sad to hear that, but the VOXEL remesh is generally MEMORY hungry and crashes BLENDER, so hopefully you can use it, but using a higher number to find a number that works for your computer.

@@RohrbachJewelryDesign I see you tried removing remesh and try auto smooth. Unfortunately didn't go much for me, not squared off edges like your result. Remeshing just made it full of holes, guess I'll try different options....
