In 2017 I ran a home built 6.5 Creedmoor, shooting a club level series style directly after PRS for the match season and one Guardian match. Seven matches total. That year I had two third place finishes and in all but one match I finished in the top third of all shooters. That one exception was because I changed ammunition for that match and it didn't work out, lol. Lessons Learned: 1. It is far more difficult to remain consistently accurate with a semi-auto due to all the reciprocating Mass compared to a bolt action rifle. 2. As long as the targets remained 2 moa or larger I had no issue hitting them provided. 3. Unlike with a bolt-action rifle you cannot expect to shoot at the same velocity or powder charge as a bolt-action rifle. If you attempt to do so, this is where you'll see reliability become a problem. Final thoughts: if you're in it to win it don't shoot a semi-auto. If your goal is to have fun while while still being competitive, sure a quality built semi-auto will be competitive and fun. 2018 I went back to my bolt action.

That's great man. I have a precision 308 gas gun and it took a while to get running reliable. Now it shoots the lights out and doesn't choke up if I keep it clean.

I can see why PRS is so popular with those types of competitors.
