After you've practiced and mastered the Turks Head knot, it's time to start adding more fun by working in an interweave. This one will make the knot have a more rounded shape.

Great series! I always thought the interweave was done with a tight knot, but this makes way more sense. If you need another project, I would be interested to see how you would do a scarf slide.

I love those braiding videos, thank you so much for that! I'm a little unclear about what to do if I want to do the herringbone with the same working lace that I used for the initial turks head. do I cut my working end and start the same way that you did? or do I bring it around and start the herringbone?

Either way will work.

Is there any secret guesstimateing the size of what you build it up with or just make it a little shorter than the weave? Thanks

So then what? To get that off of the mandrel and use it for say part of a key fob. Or is that the next video? Not being pushy just curious.
