Meteorologist Alexa Trischler says Cat 3 Hurricane Beryl continues to strengthen, forecast to become category 4 late Sunday. Beryl is the first hurricane of the Atlantic Hurricane season. Beryl is expected to ride along a ridge of high pressure which will keep it heading westward in the next few days.

It's hard to believe that about Beryl, because by looking at all the live cams, people doesn't seem to be worried about it, they are out swimming, surfing, cars on the beaches, people moving around like any other day. Don't seem like anyone is too worried about it, makes a person wonder, if it's not just the media making a big deal, mind you, I'm a Canadian, and I don't live there, but the camera's don't lie. I know f there were a storm coming my way, I wouldn't on the beaches, I'd be home preparing for the storm, lol.

People whom live in areas that have these hurricanes often are not worried about it cause the storms aren't as bad as media makes them out to be. These folks even have hurricane parties
