None of the videos of the Viper Gravity latch tell you where to cut the rod that does in-between the two. They don't even tell you in the products instruction pamphlet! So thanks for this video, I had no idea the rod was even marked.

It also saddens me that after doing what I think is GOING THROUGH KZbin with a fine tooth combe for 2 months, I have only just came across this video of yours........ Stuff You KZbin !!! Stupid KZbin !! Had I have found this video ages ago, my issues and searching would have been done back then. I ordered the gear today from a supplier who is 4000k's away as NO ONE in my area that sells gates stocks these items. Their loss.... Cant buy local when the local guys don't update their stock Thank you again Paul !

Can the striker be installed on a round/tube gate? The post is square but the gate itself is tube steel.

Thank you for your enquiry. The short answer is not easily. Unfortunately the Viper Latch is not designed for a round post application.

What is the size of square tube where the brackets can be installed?

Hi Junrel. The Viper latch can be installed on post sizes from 30mm up to 160mm. Simply measure the width of your post and cut the connecting rod at the appropriate mark, eg 50mm post, cut the rod on the 50mm mark.

No, it means you're a normal user with this product, using shitty instructions and watching videos that strategically end before demonstrating that they lock properly.

Can I confirm, the video that you have on this acct kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXfIg6aul6x-ers shows that the hinges are installed the other way round, as in upside down. You tightened the spring adjustment from the bottom, where as the animated CoilKlik video shows the adjustment site is located with the adjustment at the top of the hinge...

Cutting the latch rod to the size of the post does not work. You need to add about 30mm to the post size for the current dimension in order for the latch to work correctly.

Hi Nick, we have provided incremental markings on the connecting rod that make allowance for the extra length needed. I.E. if you have a 50mm post, cut the rod on the 50mm mark, do not measure the rod and cut it to 50mm or it will be too short. There are incremental markings in mm on one side of the rod and inches on the opposite side for your convenience.
