Do you have any problems with syncing audio with video? Is there anything to watch out for to avoid that? Many new cameras are designed with web streaming in mind. Do those devices still need the Elgato to present it to Zoom in the correct way? I'm also wondering about bandwidth, given that most zoom conferences are done at very low resolution. Does the zoom server compress video sent to it, effectively reducing the power of a top quality system?
@CHECKTHISOUT-CANADA Жыл бұрын
Generally no issues with sync. Yes, i have one of the new cameras that doesn't need a cam-link to connect, it's fantastic. Also yes, zoom and other video conference platforms reduce video quality. Although this is happening, your video will always look so much better starting with quality 4k or HD. Plus the bokeh and lens quality of a camera makes a huge difference over computer webcam.

Hello there. Can we connect the teleprompter to the laptop so that instead of looking at the computer and reading the notes, we can look directly at the teleprompter so that it displays?

What teleprompter and monitor are you using?
@CHECKTHISOUT-CANADA3 жыл бұрын
In the video i held up the Padcaster Parrot teleprompter as an example but it's a bit small to use for this purpose. Plus it doesn't work well with wider lenses. I have the Glide Gear TMP 100 which is more suitable for this type of thing. Also, you can use any monitor, it should be at least 8 inches. The important thing for a monitor is that it has the mirror feature built in. Some people may try to use an ipad with side-car. This will not work well because the image will be bounced off the teleprompter, everything will be backwards, trying to use your mouse will be challenging. Most camera monitors have the special feature to flip the image by just hitting a button. By the way i have the Feelworld montior, think it's a 5.5 inch, but i'd go bigger for this application. If you have a few people in your Zoom, everyone will be too small with a 5.5 inch screen. Hope that helps, and welcome to the channel!

You can see the amazing video quality even on your end. But you do have to keep in mind Zoom does do some compression and transmits in HD. Almost everyone i meet through Zoom comments how good my video looks. BTW...anything you watch through KZbin is also compressed to some degree and my not look the same as recorded.

For just some Zoom conference calls that makes no sense. Nobody really cares imo

You might be right for regular conversations with friends. I do find video calls more enjoyable when the video and audio is absolutely clear. Some of my meetings are with clients, first time meeting, would like to have best impressions.

@@CHECKTHISOUT-CANADA I agree, for business this makes sense for a lot of people who want a professional outcome. 👍🏽
