In the future would like to see some advanced features like making L cuts and J cuts with precision editor and using the clip trimmer. I'm experimenting with those and I'm not quite getting it.

I'm used to editing in the old fashioned film-editing process. That is you take your roll of 'dailies' then you break them down & file them by scene: master shot, medium, close ups, 2-shots, cutaways, inserts, high angles, low angles etc. What is your recommendation in id'ing the footage, in other words not having to continually scroll.

Really helpful video. When you bring up your progress bar, it has the video of you surfing across. Is there a way of removing the background of a person in a video without using a green screen - can it be done in Davinci Resolve? Have seen another video which uses 3 different software programmes, which seems excessive, and another which I think uses masks and looks like it would take forever
