So, a fun fact about the futurama Easter egg. It has been known for many years that there is an egg behind the wall. Many people noticed it because the camera can sometimes clip through the walls in that spot, revealing it. What was unknown was how to open the wall to actually get a full view of the egg. So to clarify the literal Easter egg was known not the process.

The Futurama Easter Egg itself I think was known about for a while but not the steps on how to activate it. I believe there was a way you could mess with the camera at a certain angle to see the egg without doing any of the steps.

So idk if anyone ever noticed this cuz i never seen this mentioned anywhere, but in War of the Monsters (2003) unarmed versions of Roadkill and Yellowjacket from Twisted Metal: Black(2001) appear on the intro. Both games were developed by the now defunct company Incognito.

I'd say the Evil Dead easter egg in Zombie Army 4 is different considering the overused version is usually just an outline of the chainsaw. But giving you a gnarly looking chainsaw and with both head and hand right there, I'll throw in the verdict of "not overused"

The futurama easter egg must be the most bunkers steps the devs could come up to. That or the writers are telling us something meta like "Get the hammer. Now you must be some repair man right? So, go to the basement and take the money on the table for a hard days work. If the payment is unsatisfying, break the extinguisher glass for you to come back later to replace it and pay you more. Aaagh the hell with it, go to the lab and see if they have something to fix you up. Nothing? Oopsy they left money on the table, better take care of it before someone steals it... So, they have an old crappy tv, I'm going to make them a favour and turn this into a new one. Maybe they could watch that show Futurama. Now this long hall looks friendly, let's head in." That June 28th thing reminds me of when I first played Metal Gear Solid (back in 98/99?) with my buddy David. If you get the ending with Hal instead of Meryl, Snake tells him his name is David. Neither of us realized that David Hayter was the voice actor so we got really weirded out about it.🤣 😎🍻😎

I got a good easter egg that you could cover in a future episode, Sir Eggscellent: In Genshin Impact, there's a house somewhere in Mondstadt that stands out more than the rest. In one of its walls, you can find a text that says "Hoyo" as in Hoyoverse/Mihoyo (the company behind the creation of the game). I don't play Genshin myself, so I can't give too many specifications to find it, I think there's videos somewhere on YT that demonstrate where you can find it, good luck Over and out

the futurama one has such a interesting history after all it seem like it was only discovered by shear chance of the player taking a break from the game right near the easteregg to then share there seem to of found something weird be hide a wall. From that point on people wanted to know what was be hide this wall since it was the only wall to do this black and yellow effect as far as anyone could see. 5 months later the first freecam mod was made and we got to see what was behide it but like any easteregg hunter a lot of us were not content on just cheating to find this and so the community went ahead and looked further to find there was a bit of code that appeared to be connected with the egg within the game then just 2-4 months later someone discovered the proper way of achieving the easter egg tho they did warn it was sort of disappointing what it really is since other then the wall coming down nothing new to it even happen that we already haven't seen before by the freecam cheating before hand. But at least all were happy that this could be seen without even modding the game after all. So it was still a great feet into the discover of it to come to think if that person who never took a break by standing near the that wall and never even decided to replay about 11-13 year old game when their played it this easter egg likely could of stayed undiscovered and likely of been forgotten to time. One single person made this happen just that one little action is all it took.

I dont think its overused. Such as for It, and so on they always do the same thing to make the reference. Red balloon, sword in pire, delorian, and so on. Imo even if 100 games made a reference to the Simpsons as long as they are creative in how they reference it I don't think it's overused.

Does anyone else remember the easter egg easter egg in Fable 3? I don't know if I'm remembering something that never existed or if it really did exist. It had complicated steps and there were videos that showed you how to get to it, but I can't find any videos on it anymore and think it was a Mandela Effect from my childhood.
