Some people like to collect moreso than play games I personally buy games I’m going to play, but I do prefer buying og games as opposed to their game of the year edition I also like to have my games with the case Not a big deal to me, playing games matters most above all else, but sometimes I won’t buy games if it’s the greatest hits for ps2, or I’ll grab games in my collection I enjoy and sell them because they’re greatest hits

There's multiple reasons for a store not wanting to have an online inventory for games. Each store has its own reasons. That doesn't stop you from reaching out and contacting them. Some stores are okay with shipping things out so long as you can come to an agreement of cost & shipping terms. 🙂
@TachibanaTengoku
@TachibanaTengoku Ай бұрын
Leaving aside the man power issue, I think the true biggest reason is because if you have an online storefront (whether ebay or your own website), it's going to be a worse experience for your locals overall. IE if they just got in a minty clean CIB emerald, someone in their local community would be stoked to have it probably, but if they had an online store now that game could be sold within minutes or hours and the locals would never even know about it. This is an issue you run into as a card store tbh, if you are priced too well, online customers will eat up your inventory leaving only the scraps for your local community which is putting the cart before the horse.

I Currently have 1530 Unique NA Ps2 games CIB and have had around that for years.. There's not many "Expensive" games for me to get for it at this point, and the Few I have left are outside the top 10 most expensive games on the System, so it shouldn't be too hard to get those when I decide to.. I could easily finish it, but just like almost every other system I get close to completing, I slow down when it comes to a bunch of the Cheaper/Shovelware Titles and divert my attention to completing the Library of another Console, lol.. When it comes to the Ps2, I'm mostly just slowly picking up a lot of the Cheaper titles I have left as I find them Locally. Good luck on your Journey.

Ps2 games are disappearing from the market because any who sell to GameStop are ensuring those games never see the light of day. GS has been claiming for months they are opening up to retro gaming, but they are just eBaying the Ps1/2 games for their own market share, nothing in store.

Man...... Its your collection and you do what you want but..... Argh.... Game Stores make off like bandits, buddy of yours or not, he's gotta run a business and selling online and using the cash to buy at fair prices as listed Price Charts is the way to go. He's running a business and he's gotta come out on top, way on top! He's not gonna take a loss for you. Just like the guy who runs a casino, he knows how he's gotta be incredibly profitable because when you've gotta feed mouths and put an expensive California roof over your head will all those taxes, there's no surprise Hollywood actors move out of California. Jeff Daniels, Kid Rock, Marshal Mathers, Tim Allen, they all live in Michigan, for example..... Again, it's your collection but, what a well rounded collection with a variation of things to play where you can appreciate all formats and what different tech the creators had to work with and how they implemented all that..... Argh, it's made my stomach turn and your chest hurts. Are they doubles?? A signed Gamecube? That's exactly why if I were a celeb and people asked me to sign memorabilia for them, I wouldn't do it and that's why those of us who want that kind of thing for ourselves don't get it or are refused and turned down. Actors aren't stupid, they know. But man, trading all that variety to collect a complete set of games youre never gonna play versus a variation of games you do..... Argh.... It's so sad to watch. It's one thing to sell your hobby to provide for your family, I totally get that. In the biking world, it's known the worst feeling is having to sell your bike, I totally get that but I had to pay bills. Life's meant to be enjoyed and it's moments like those life is cruel, unfair, and sucks unless it's for something worth a lot more, your family. Ergh... I couldn't do what you're doing unless they were doubles but, a signed Nintendo Gamecube, for PS2 games you can get anywhere? Especially commons worth a few bucks. Ouch..... Take your time? Said nobody anywhere these days because it's only getting more expensive, unless you already have the rares but, there's also someone out there who knows a rare nobody even thought of. The rares they list for the PS3, oh no. I have a PS3 game, US, that I haven't seen on most rare games listed but it's ultra rare because you wouldn't think of it. I got it at the right time, seller didn't know what she had and thought it was super common, nope, I got it for $12 and it's ultra rare and doesn't appear on any rare list because they don't know
@RectWizard
@RectWizard Ай бұрын
So first off you have no idea what deal my friend and I had for these games. But since you think you know let me enlighten you. Every game on that counter was sold to me for $3 a piece and every item that I traded in to him I received 75% of full market value so again you clearly have absolutely no idea what your talking about and your assumption that my friend would screw me is absolutely annoying. He’s not just some person I call a friend cause I occasionally shop in his store we’re legit friends and it’s insulting for you to make these assumptions. Number 2 of you actually listened to the video you would’ve heard that I had tons and tons of things signed by Charles Martinet and I’m not going to hang on to everything in my collection forever just because somebody signed it. I’m also not going to hang on to games that I’m not passionate about and clearly you did not listen. The majority of those games that I traded in are multi platform games which means they are not only on the Xbox, but they are also on the PlayStation 2 and I do not want to own the same game twice so if I’m collecting the full set of PlayStation 2 games I am trading away my multi plat games because that would mean I would be owning the same game twice but again you didn’t listen. You also didn’t listen that I do not collect for the GameCube and that is not a focus and if you were a true collector, you would understand that the games that I traded away are super common games that I can buy at any time anywhere and the prices on those games are not going to go up And if they do, then they do that is the part of collecting but for you to take your time to write this gatekeeping uninformed comment is absolutely annoying because who are you to say what I should and shouldn’t collect? And who are you to say what games I actually play in my collection or not because newsflash the vast majority of collectors who collect thousands of games in all varieties 90 to 95% of those games do not get played and that is why it is an ongoing joke that us is collectors have a backlog we will never finish. But hey, if it bothers you that much that I traded in a game queue that you assumed I should have some type of sentimental attachment to then you can drive your ass down to the store and pick it up because I’m sure it’s still there for sale and then you can put it on your shelf. The fact that you think celebrities give a shit what they sign is hilarious I go to conventions and pay money for the signatures. I didn’t run into this guy out in the wild and beg him to sign my stuff for free. I paid him lots of money for multiple signatures on multiple items so again your comment makes absolutely no sense and you have no idea what you’re talking about and clearly you’re not a collector clearly you don’t go to conventions and get things signed. These celebrities and voice actors. Are there to make money. They don’t give a shit what they sign They sign tens of thousands of signatures on a regular basis. Mario signature is one of the most common signatures in the voice acting world. So to sum this up you basically did nothing but write a stupid fucking comment insulting me and my friend talking about nonsense and things that you have no idea about and assumed when all that did was make an ass out of you.

@@RectWizarddon’t listen to him dude, he’s getting bent out of shape over videogames. None of this is that serious. You can collect whatever you want.

@@TimDespairBear11 thank you brotha! I appreciate that. I can’t stand the gatekeeping. It’s like bro if you want the GameCube go ahead and drive on down and buy it 😂

@@RectWizard trust me that Mario voice actor guy DOES NOT CARE if you sell the GameCube or not. That’s a dumb assumption. And also it’s reasonable to offer less money for cruddy sport ps2 games. If I was a seller I would rather take $3 than have a bunch of shovelware sit on a shelf. That’s just me though. It’s kinda crazy to do a full ps2 collection but I respect it that’s dedication.

He just wanted that Gamecube, lol. Didn't have to give your whole life story. Go and buy it, or go and buy a variant and go to a convention and get it signed. He can do what he wants with his stuff. And that comment is full of assumptions.

This is painful to watch honestly. Collecting trash games and has to get permission to spend money, oof

It’s not a matter of getting permission it’s when you have joint finances with your spouse and having a discussion before a big purchase to make sure it’s within the budget. But thanks for watching
