It is decidedly a luxury that I'm fortunate to be able to afford every month. And it's definitely not for everyone - as I mentioned in the video, I don't have a ton of options around me for retro shops, so this is one of the few opportunities I get to add older games to my collection. Not every month is a win, but they hit more often than they don't. And it's good, fun, easy content for the channel that folks seem to enjoy. :) Thanks for watching!

I actually have a lot of nostalgia for Hunt for the Red October and Taz! Hunt for the Red October was one of my few NES games I had as a kid. Very hard, but one I would go back to, not having a ton of games. Taz is one I didn't experience until visiting family in England and played on their Mega Drive, so that game always has some nice memories attached!

No, I'm talking about the prequel that happened BEFORE Escape From Mars - he had to get there to get captured. It was a whole Sonic 3 - Sonic & Knuckles thing where you were able to snap the carts together to get the full experience. 😂😂😂😂

Worth it for gradius alone. Great haul. I kinda liked Tasmania on the mega drive, mostly because I was a huge Taz fan rather than the game being actually good though.

Ah yes, another Call of Duty on the Gamecube. The older ones I can at least give a shot since they're single player games, but the other problem for me is, they all seem the same. From the footage I saw of Big Red 1 compared to what I saw in Finest Hour, if I wasn't told which title it was I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Still at least you got your value out of it and it seems like with VGM, that happens more often than not. So that's a good thing.

The one thing I don't understand is how The CoD series became so big after the GameCube generation as for me the Medal of Honour games were far superior. And Gradius is the best game this month.

From what I've noticed about video games monthly it seems like since it's so hit and miss it's better to get one of the more expensive subscriptions the one where you get like five games at least then you probably have a chance of getting at least one good one and there's also the possibility of them throwing in a free game so that's good. The Hunt for Red October on the NES yeah it's not a great version. What you want to play is The Hunt for Red October on super Nintendo it's a much better version of the game. If you play it straight for about a week on end you should get to the last boss after about the 8th day. Problem is you got to basically play every level over and over to where you have it memorized then it's pretty easy as long as you can get to that last boss. The levels on the nes look like such crap compared to the levels on snes

Solid VGM box Jay! Gradius is good, but I enjoyed CoD Big Red One, though I played it on the Xbox. Also, many manuals are added to the Gameye app. I checked and the Populous manual is there. Good deal. Take care! 🟨
