QUICK NOTE: In 12:10 I called the game TMNT 3 Mutant "MAYHEM" instead of Mutant Nightmare A mistake I noticed WAY too late once I started to get a bunch a shifts at my 2nd job, so I didn't have the time to fix it, just letting you know that I'm aware of the mistake and I apologize for that

Actually was playing street fighter 6 recently and found out that you can play the first final fight in the game, it was a really cool discovery and I always love when games add gesyuryes like that

The editing in the beginning was insane, amazing bit. A game within a game I've NEVER seen anybody talk about is Mega Man ZX Advent. Once you beat the game there's a classic mega man inspired 8-bit game and it's absolutely horrible. Also, for the Animal Crossing games there's actually a system in game to unlock them still. Tom Nook let's you tell him 3 gift codes a day that let you get virtually any item for free and the codes can be found online

When I was a kid. I loved the Sonic Adventure games, not only because of the "open world" (as a kid that cities and hubs seemed enormous), the Chao Garden was just the greatest thing ever created. I remember playing it every day, taking my chao to the school so it could learn those cute idle animations

I loved the chao garden so much, I didn't even bother to even finish the main levels until like 4 years later. Luckily, I had my stepfather who also liked videogames. He grinded all the animal and crystal shards for me, it makes me so nostalgic

4 years later is insane lol, but that's also very cute ngl I was also obsessed with Chao Garden as a kid, really good times but unfortunately I lost my data some years ago

A such cool video on this interessing topic :) For DK64, i don't expect we must to beat DK arcade twice if we want to beat thet whole game but well ^^; Concerning Metroid Zerio Mission, the funny thing is the fact Nintendo did release his own NES classic on GBA (entittled "NES Classic") with Mario, Ice Climbers, Zelda,etc...but there's also some from other studio like Castlevania from Konami, Bomberman from Hudson Soft and even Pac-Man from Namco) Back then, i was pretty happy to see NES games on his recent console (portable or not) but now...i started to get so fed up of seeing the same f----ng games : Excitebike, Donkey Kong NES 1 and 2, Ballon Fight and even Super Mario Bros did managed to make me fed up from seeing this game over and over again (in compil, catalog,etc...) + if we can put Super Mario Bros aside, we're realize this games i mentioned...getting damn old quickly, especially because of clunky movement (jump, moving,etc...) during gameplay. To me, NES games i do enjoy it is : Zelda 1 and 2, Mario 2 and 3, Kid Icarus and even the very first Fire Emblem So...tbh, i think Nintendo did beat Sega about old game annoyingness to me ^^; (despite i do not understand why Sega always release compil many times ^^; ) but at least, Sega did put his old but recent games on his Yakuza games (i do thinking about Virtua Fighter 5 in Like a Dragon ^^) For Castlevania Dracula Chronicles X to me, it is the very best version to play Rondo of Blood/Chi no Rondo ^^ (i mean...not only we got a 2.5d remake, we got the original RoB and also Symphony of the Night

Bug fables has three in a card game dungeon explorer and such. Tales of series poker. Fe engage quick time events. Sonic adventure 2 battle Chao garden. When a game is good and has a great mini game that's basically a bonus
@supermariogamer52944 ай бұрын
I don't know if this counts, but in the SNES mini if you played Star Fox and managed to beat one level you get full access to Star Fox 2 marking it as the first time it ever got released.

Animal Crossing's NES carts were something I was always sad never came back. NES was my first console, so seeing them pop up in Redd's shop and then actually getting to play them blew my mind (and then using the trusty GameShark to just unlock the forbidden ones). But I was sad they never showed up again, especially since the AC games eventually started involving more multiplayer...How fun would it have been to invite someone over to your AC house to play NES games? I guess nowadays it's "pointless" because you could just play them with the NES App on the switch, but you know. AC was always a "pointless" life sim so I think it would have been awesome.

That Nintendo Switch fucking kicked the emotions like a mule,brother. It's such an endearing callback even if it was removed. For me,one of my favorite games in a game is in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I and II had a little card game called Pazaak which kinda played like Blackjack but you had to have a smaller or larger number. I forget which but it was a fun little minigame.

Another cool example of Konami being great in the past is Contra 4 There is a mission mode in the game and the more missions you complete, you can unlock both Contra 1 and Super C!

@@TheGameShelf I think the most frustrating part is that the game doesn’t tell you you have to beat it to beat the entire game. Let alone beat it twice. Like you stumble upon it you play it, lose , and you go “that was a cute fun little addition.” But let’s say you lose and you’re like “aight let me lock in.” You beat it, get a golden banana, and then you’d assume that’s your only prize. How else was I supposed to know a required key item to even unlock the final boss was hidden behind an Easter egg 😭

@@Acnheevee actually Squaks does challenge you to play it again for a surprise, but he never specifies it's a MANDATORY ITEM to beat the game

I really enjoyed the minigames in Animal Crossing: New Leaf that were ported from the Amiibo Festival Wii U game. I suppose it barely sold any copies and Nintendo ported them so that they would actually get played by someone, since New Leaf sold remarkably well on the 3DS. They are not super impressive, but I like their cutesy stylization. There was also something magical about Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, as it was my first MH game. There's the arm wrestling multiplayer minigame, the bulk fish catching and that bottom screen palico adventure rock-paper-scissors game. Despite not being super complex, I just found it insane how much content Capcom fit into a damn single 3DS cartridge, it just seemed so unreal to me, as it was also one of the first 3DS games I ever played.
