Awesome! I have a true confessions ❤️ I was so excited to get my granddaughters journal going that I have it nearly finished. I am going to make another lapbook base so that I can share (and not hoard) the process 🤣 I will be back with continuation in the next week or so where we will continue to decorate a Lapbook identical to this base ❤️

Thanks for this tutorial!! Tyvek: get a couple of envelopes from the PO and turn them inside out. To increase the spine on an old book, remove it and add a new one with chipboard.

I find when I’m using chip board (or pieces) to make my cover, I put the tape on the outside cover first then put a bamboo skewer then the spine so both sides have the same space between them. Since it’s masking tape, it’s easy to remove the skewer when it’s done then I tape the inside. 🙂

What one does with it or decorates it is the same as a regular journal. The construction is the difference with flip outs that are different❤️ I hope that answers your question ❤️
