Hey this is great. Best explanation I've seen. I'll have to give it a try as I've spent way too much time just hovering in my back garden. Thanks.

Hopefully circles are ALL I try tomorrow... I really want to get the basics down before spending anymore time trying "tricks." Aerial, if you're reading remind me of this in the morning!
@juanh596210 жыл бұрын
excellent videos, wish more pro's would show how to do these tricks, I also like the fact that you mentioned that it takes time to accomplish these skills, since I get desperate to learn, one thing that I want to know is when do you use the flight mode switch? which stunts? require them? rolls? loops,funnels? thanks so much your help is really appreciate it

youve got me over ,,i just contacted the shop to figure out what cable to add with it,and order my copy of phoenixsim,,just installing the demo now to see if it runs good on my computer and then i complete the order and hope to receive it before xmas

thanks for the comments, i am glad you like the videos. yes i am always in IU, i do not use normal mode but if i did i would still have 0 pitch at mid stick.. IMO and in experienced pilots opinions will always say to have 0 pitch at mid stick.. you want that to fly 3D so 0 at mid stick is a must so you should have 0 pitch at mid stick at all times or you do not have a proper set up IMO,

if you go to the phoenix section on helifreak forums and than go to the custom creations section you can find all kinds of canopys to download, if your playing multi player you cant see other peoples custom canopys and they cant see yours, only you can see it when your flying with it..
@Danny-Lightning-CSR12 жыл бұрын
both sticks control the swash plate.. mainly the right stick though.. the left stick moves the whole swash up and down to change the pitch and it also works the tail.. the right stick tilts the swash to move the helicopter around.. that is if your radio is mode 2,

What camera view and model do you have set up in Phoenix? Nice video. I'm studying it so I can get banked turns going. I like the way you explained a gradual method of getting there. I hope it works! Thanks much! Jazzjohn (on HF)

very nice flight. I am a beginner of rc heli flight. Could you tell me how you configured the D/R expo to make this smooth turn?
@trippledigitss12 жыл бұрын
Nice smooth flying dude. Hey, first off, its very cool of you to make & post these training videos, its a very helpful addition to the training sessions in the PS. Plus it seems more realistic for some reason. But you are also a really good instructor, nice calm voice and clear instructions, helps build my confidence. So a huge thanks for taking your time to do this! Question for you - when explaining the stall turns you mentioned pulling the pitch back to 0, so are you in idle up /stunt mode?
@trippledigitss12 жыл бұрын
@dannylightning ok thanks for the info I'll have to check the pitch. so the bearings are a common problem on the 130?

that is the avant with a canopy i downloaded. now i fly the whiplash because it feels the most realistic to me.

i have no idea what people use or how they did it, i found some canopy's that you could download that people made and posted for others to use too. when i comes to making them i have no clue..

just because the radio has pos 3 set at 50 on your pitch curve is correct with a 5 point curve but it does not mean your at 0 pitch, you need to manually set up the linkage rods on the helicopter to get 0 pitch at mid stick, on the bigger helicopters its usually the 2 rods that attach to the blade grips you adjust to get 0, on the micro helicopters i guess you need to adjust the swash height till you get 0 pitch at mid stick, yes i sold my 130X, i got tired of replacing bearings constantly
@trippledigitss12 жыл бұрын
I need to buy one of those Align dig pitch gauges so I can double check my actual pitch vs the TX settings. I think POS 3 is set at 50 on all my helis but I'm not sure. But that would be 0 deg right? Or should be that is. Did you sell your 130x? I'm bidding on a one on eBay and watching a few, should have one soon. BTW: I did my first flips & rolls on my nano cpx last night and was getting them down good today! Man it feels good to get my first stunts in! YEAH BABE! Thanks again for the help!
@Danny-Lightning-CSR12 жыл бұрын
yes i think those are a common problem, you can get upgraded bearings by boca but its like 40 bucks for the bearing kit, something like that, the 2 bearings in the tail case and the tail blade grip bearings were going bad for me, it would cause tail wag, i replaced them and they were going bad again in no time. parts are over priced and the thing seemed like a little money pit to me. all the micros i had besides the MSR were junk if you ask me. i am done with the micro helicopters

Excellent videos my friend. Nice flop at the end hehe.
@trippledigitss12 жыл бұрын
Hmm, well thats a bummer. I just bought a new one online yesterday, maybe I'll get that upgrade right away and it may save me money in the long run. The only micro I have besides the ncpx is the 120SR and both of those take some hardcore knocks. But I just broke the canopy mount on my nano last night so now I need to replace the whole freakin main frame. Anyway, thanks again for all the help. I'll leave you alone for a while and go back to watching your vids. heheheh

Hi Danny. Thanks for the videos. I am really enjoying them and learning a lot. I have a question. I just installed the Real Flight R?C flight simulator Basic on my computer. With this program, can I do maneuvers in 3-D (fly upside down, do the tricks you do?). Please advise. Thanks again Danny, Juca
@Danny-Lightning-CSR10 жыл бұрын
the controller should have a switch on it, it should be the one on the top left, when flying a helicopter you need to flip that switch to get into stunt mode which is what we call it idle up. when you are in that mode you should have a full range of positive and negative pitch and the motor will not shut off unless you hit the other switch on the controller to kill the throttle, this will allow the helicoper to fly upside down, the throttle hold switch that shuts down the motor should be the other switch on the top right.

Do u need to be in idle up to do these turns?
@Danny-Lightning-CSR6 жыл бұрын
no, as long as u can get zero pitch or close to 0 on the blades without stopping the motor u can do these without IU but its allot better to be in IU

@dannylightning i will join you ,, they let you choose a specific cable with it and for futaba there are more different choices ,so i have to make sure i get the right one ,or it takes extra time to be flying phoenix heard so much of it being the best sim ,so im willing to spend the 100$ on it i might even consider getting the dx5 pack ,so i can buy bnf stuff like micro's or blade 120sr in the future dx5 pack goes for 150$ here

Your going to keep the retailers in business with your flying lessons. Fixed wing pilots would call all your maneuvers "yank and bank". Your a discredit to the helicopter community.
