Thanks for putting this together. Very helpful with the "hidden modes." Although, Boss probably could have made this more user friendly by holding two switches rather than having to power cycle each time. Really appreciate the tips on changing reverb types and saving them for each preset. Just subscribed, looking forward to more vids!

This is an excellent demonstration. I really like my RE-20, but the extra features on the RE-202 convinced me (especially the reverb). Probably won’t part with the old one, but I definitely want to add this to my arsenal of delay pedals. Cheers!

Having to go into the config mode on this and the RE-2 is such a pain in the ass. Same goes for the Meris pedals like the polymoon and strymon small form factor pedals. Anyway nice demo !

Dear Pedal experiment. Is there any way to save a preset with dotted 8 tap tempo and other presets with normal mode tap delay.? I tried to do that 1. by changing the tap to dotted notes 2. Then I created a desirable preset with doted tap tempo and I saved it to a preset number 3. Then I again did the Config number 3 process to reverse the pedal back to normal tap tempo Then the preset I saved with dotted eight, was changed to normal. In the new firmware It seems that when you change the tap tempo from the Config mode 3 , that does not only applied in manual mode Only but it goes in every preset you have already saved. I hope there is something I don’t get right here. But this is a big disappointment. Any help ? Thanks!

So when you select the dotted 8th vs quarter notes as mentioned at 16:25, can you save that subdivision to one of the memories? So that way you can have memory 1 be 1/4 and memory 2 be dotted 8th. Is that correct or no? Thanks for the great demo!

Thanks for this. When I tried to config mode “3” to modify the tap tempo the memory buttons were just blanked out and I can’t utilise this feature? Is that because I need a firmware update do you think? Also, you made a typo at the tap tempo config section and wrote config “4” instead of “3” Thanks again for the great video!!

Hi, Thanks for the video.Did you ever experienced any cracking noise with the saturation knob full clockwise even with no input sound? Trying to find out if I have a defective unit.

I don't think I ever tried that, tbh. Not sure if yours is broken or not, but most pedals make some kind of hiss or other noise when you turn up their gain knobs to full. If it sounds fine in all other settings, then I wouldn't worry.

Yes, it's a stereo pedal, however I currently only have means to record in mono atm, I'm afraid.

ANYONE using this pedal with MIDI?? I just bought the Fender Switchboard switcher and ALL I WANT is to be able to change presets on the RE202 with the switcher but can't figure it out 😅 midi noob here PLS HELP!?

@@didier3457I figured it out.. you actually need the proprietary BOSS midi cable and it will work... assign PC MESSAGE 1=preset 1 on the RE202 and so on.. hope this helps! 🤘😎
