Green heads, they are the worst pest on a beach during the day. Dragonflies are predatory, so they would be beneficial in reducing the number of biting flies and other flying pests.

there must be large freshwater ponds nearby. they deposit their eggs in freshwater ponds where the eggs hatch into larvae usually overwintering as such. I have always been fascinated by pond life and love watching them flying about, stopping on a dime, and hovering effortlessly before darting off!
