Yeah before I saw the video, I immediately assumed it was a greedy boomer who pushed some poor kid from having the highlight of his young adulthood. I don't even think the kid wanted it that bad, because even though there is no crying in baseball, I would have been tearing up from either the combination of injuries sustained clinging to the ball and the loss of said ball in the aftermath, not shrugging my shoulders.

Red jersey kid never had clean possession of the ball. He also seemed to causally be trying to get it, keeping his phone in his right hand the entire time. Look let’s be honest with ourselves for a second here until a video comes out of the adult actually assaulting the teen the kid is just angry that he wasn’t able to get the ball. I see two individuals trying to get a ball and the adult clearly comes out with the ball in the end. There is no physical evidence of any kind what so ever of the teen actually having 100% possession of that ball at any time and the adult assaulting him for it. The auction house and it’s lawyers reviewed all tapes they have and at no time does it show the teen having 100% possession of the ball or the adult assaulting the kid and taking it away from it. All videos show two individuals trying to grab the ball and the adult coming out on top with 100% possession of it. In a case like this it’s not about feelings or he said she said it’s about what the evidence show so yeah.

So basically this video only shows several seconds after the footage of the game cameras followed the hit from the field side. Im still looking for the extrnded footage from that gamee camera to see if the boy possessed it prior to the table being knocked down assumably from the assault against him to dislodge the recovered homerun ball

we need another video that somehow shows the kid had somehow luckily gotten the ball into his hand just before the guy in black shoves it between his legs. Without that there is no clear proof it was in the kid's hand. If it was some lucky bounce and he did have it, it's too bad, but we need another video to show that. If he somehow did stab the ball off the ground for even a 1/4 of a second before the guy in black pulls it in, then it's the kid's ball.. I'm waiting for that video to surface.

@@HummBabyBaseball If we can't see the ball we have to concede, by extension, that we can't determine if he ever had possession of it...we only see he doesn't end up with it. He could very well have had it in his hand (making it his) but his arm was trapped under/by Belanski (black shirt guy) who was able to pry it out of the kid's hand (the lawsuit alleges). Legally, once it's in the kids hand he "possesses" it, and it's his legal property. At that point, if someone else uses force to remove it from his hand they are stealing it from him. That part of the law is very clear. BUT, until there is video evidence that shows the kid DID have it (which may not exist) there just won't be enough to go on. People seem to think the legality is that it was "fair ball" to fight over it...and it is...UNTIL someone possesses it. From that point on, once someone closes their hand over it and can pick it up, it's theirs. I don't know who to believe, but there is no video showing the kid didn't possess it, just video that shows he didn't end up with it. Won't be enough to sway a judge unless there is also a good number of witnesses who will vouch that the kid possessed it.

The man then closed his legs and vice-locked the boy's arm with the ball still in the boy's grip. The man then proceeds to pry the ball from the boy's hand. because it is not evident the boy clearly had control of the ball, and it appears the man used force to take possession of the ball; King Solomon the Wise rules they should split the money 60-40 in favor of the boy.

And there's a moment where you can't see Max's left hand, and he could have had his hand on the ball in that moment. So your reasoning is flawed.
