I will gladly tell you I worked on that tool, the owner of the company was such a nice kind person. I edged and sharpened the blade

@4daysanko You must and should be proud. Very nice tool. Can you tell us anything interesting about the tool or company that is not common knowledge?

Outstanding review. I've owned and used a M4 for over 2 decades. I first learned about them from a locksmith. I asked him how sturdy they were, and he replied , " Little stronger than my finger nails , and marginally faster than prayer ". Once I witnessed his use of it, I had to have one. Full size transmissions won't be repaired with one, and it's a brittle metal compared to Victorinox metallurgy, but it's a great companion for one's keyring. Subscribed, looking forward to your future reviews.

Hi Cathode Flats. Thanks for sharing a great story. I've not used this one much, so your experience helps. More videos coming soon, but don't forget to check out the 230 videos already made - all good quality gear 👌

Will do! The M4 can easily cut 12 awg and 4mm copper wiring with ease.Even the standard paper clip is ready fodder. The file is of sufficient hardness to be very useful. The investment cast screwdrivers are great for low torque applications. The design was sold , some time ago , and the fit, finish and Rockwell hardness of the tool have suffered . The original M4 has endured tasks that have caused many of my comparable Leatherman tools to fail.😅

I have one of these, and carried it around for a fair few years, and used it quite frequently. But, an earlier comment about them being brittle is quite correct. Without too much effort, one arm of the pliers eventually broke off, so its now kept in a draw at home. It's a neat bit of kit and is still interesting to look at, so I keep it for that reason.

That is a shame it broke. You should contact IDL Tools International located in NJ to see if they will send you a replacement. Let us all know what they say.

This looks like a good quality tool 👍 Have you considered doing these videos: "Top 5 favourite tools from my collection" "My Top 5 favourite EDC tools" Top 10 would be even better, but long and I know you prefer short form.

The concept is interesting, but I don't actually have a favourite because it changes all the time. Some I'll never use because of the condition

Great review, and interesting little tool. Thanks. I like the concept of the attached tweezers.

You think its doable to replace the tweezer with a shortened jigsaw blade? With that replaced, it would be perfect for some random prunings at the backyard and the tweezer seem to be the least useful tool here. I mean, the plier are like super tweezers already.

I wouldn't recommend modifying this model, due to the riveted construction it will never be right again. I'd be looking more at the SOG PowerPint for what you were thinking.
