This version is never shown in season 3...and I'm glad...i don't think predator drones are suppose to stand out with vibrant colors.

I picked up the beast hunters Soundwave mainly because I couldn't find the RID one in stores. Only reason I regret getting him is because in the show Soundwave never turns into his beast hunters version and, ravage is never shown in the show either.

Soundwave is both a silent spy and a very powerful fighter. I think it's cool that both his molds show him uniquely optimized for one of his two traits.

Aww, your Beast Hunters Soundwave figure's parts clearly tab in much better than the ones on mine do. I almost can't get it to stay transformed in either mode because they tab in so loosely. It's like they're worn out, even though I've only had him for less than a month.

Methinks the autobots will get new forms, as I'm guessing they're the "beast hunters". And since Prime is going to need one after having a mountain dropped on him. I doubt the cons will change, tho. The colour scheme on this guy, though growing on me a little, I can't really see the prime animators enforcing. That being said, another awesome review, man! I think you may have persuaded me into buying this guy. I'm loving the lazerbeak swap! Look forward to your next BH reviews. :D

3 reasons for me to get this figure: I don't have the RID soundwave, I don't have any form of ravage, & to me at least, it vaguely reminds me of beast machines jetstorm.

Was just thinking, if the weapon looks ugly on his arm in robot mode, perhaps you could fold one of his arms back in (how it's supposed to be in alt mode) and have it look as though it transformed out of his arm? Just a suggestion..

The instruction manual says the 'heel' should be the smaller part of the soft-rubber (the bigger part should be flipped behind the leg). But my soundwave can't stand properly. The small part is too soft to hold the figure, and worse it easily bent. Kind of mistake to use soft rubber. So i position the bigger part as heel (like you did). And it seems can fit nicely as the actual heel, except too big. But i do like this figure.

Where could I get the original Soundwave figure? I've never seen it in stores, which sucks because it looks soooooo awesome! Same with the recolor. He looks a bit like a parrot when transformed, but I'm ok with it as it seems to go well with his job. Really good review man! Keep it up!

mini ravage is the only reason I want this. If he still had laserbeak he wouldnt be considered. I do love the RID one though. I dont count him as a Soundwave but in the age of Vehicons he's a great troop builder (the origional that is)

Nice review ya I like BH Soundwave too. Did you notice the rear under part of soundwave in vehicle mode on both version kinda looks like a face when properly posed? I did in your video. lol Anyway could be just the Red Bull talking nice video helped me decide on which soundwave to go for. :)

Optibotimus, the way I collect Transformers is ''not having two times a character from the same series'' (Which means I could have 2 Soundwave figures, but not from the same series. I do that to have a normal collection.) and I want to choose between BH Soundwave or the regular Prime Soundwave. What's your opinion on that one?

Thanks for the review. I would consider this figure if all the yellow was gold like on some parts of him. In general though I'm really not a fan of bright G2-ish color schemes at all. I prefer they look like more realistic vehicles. But I have the RID SW so I'm already happy :)

This might be a straight repaint of a figure from the the transformers go anime. Weird. I guess it does explain some of the unseen predakons that made toys of. Hell, maybe the storytelling in the instructions is the anime. Thumbs up if you think transformers go is crappy.

I suspect your theory is correct. The 3D models in the cartoon will remain the same. The toyline is getting these remolds to avoid having the same Bee, Optimus, etc molds on shelves for another year
