I absolutely love this figure! His griffin-like alt-mode is probably my favorite beast mode in a good long while (I've got a thing for gargoyles/mythical beasts). Well worth the money alone.

I got lucky on Ebay, picked him up with a couple other Predacons. And got luckier still that you have reviews of them. So many levels of coolness. No idea how I missed out on these "dragon" style Transformers. Now to get the rest of them

I finally found some of these in my TRS. I picked up lazerback, Bee, Wheeljack and soundwave. I do like this guy and think he's great for a best former. They should of fixed the head looking down but I guess you could place him on a higher shelf looking down over his prey. Thanks for the great review.

Well, some Transformers fans had connections with a Wal-Mart employee and it was found out that their inventory includes BST SHKW (Beast Shockwave), as well as BST UM (Beast Ultra Magnus), so we probably will get him later on in the year.

how does the plastic on this figure feel? does it seem like its of decent quality or perhaps cheap? also the face mold makes him look like more of the actual Beast Transformers, like for some reason his face reminds me of a bear, not so much a dragon

You can take off his claws and if he is to small go in the back of his legs and you will see like a yellow part sticking out and push that yellow picece

The weapon kind of looks like an upside-down trilobite with big yellow eyes. Can is rest on the soft red rubber when it's upside-down or does the trigger prevent that?

I'm just hoping Hasbro plans on possibly bringing in the Dinobots for the Beast Hunters toyline, so that perhaps the Predacons can have some kinda rivalry going on. But needless to say, I wish you luck in getting the Beast Hunters versions of Wheeljack and Optimus Prime, as well as Predaking. ;)

I made his head stand up like his head is looking forward and the biggest flaw I have is that his head isn't connect to the body and it tends to wiggle which makes me frustrated [the gun is connected to the head(s)] but it seems like ripclaw is better because I can't really find 2 (I wanted predaking but I didn't know that ripclaw is popular) ripclaws. And did you know that predaking and laserback (what I read) are the only ones with a dragonoid predacon sign

i have a problum wiht mine. where the robot head connects.. that hole part the ball joint is apart of... mine comes apart... the yellow part. when i try to transform it i have to go in an work it back into place...its annoying but i really like the figure

here s a idea for the up coming season 3 of TF prime after the predacons are created why do not the autobots make the Maximals and they are the Dinobot like Grimlock and since he wants to be the leader all the time they create there own faction called the maximals and predicons and maximals start to fight. The construction is very solid. The lack of panels means this is sturdier than most RiD figures. Unfortunately the lack of folding panels means this is a very lazy looking transformation.
