This is exactly how someone demonstrates schizophrenic antisocial narcissistic personality disorder. The patient is communicating a manifesto of sorts. A boastful self gratifying threat of acting out violently towards someone. Huge red flag, the grievance she uses to justify her threats seems fluid between historical and present-day timeliness. She mentioned accomplices of some discrption. Are they assisting or directing her? Are they physical beings or alternate personalities?. Did she produce that video herself? Very disturbing.

This is insanity, i am part Maori, and I have pakeha grandparents. This poem insults their legacy (me), but im happy to be insulted in free democracy. But we aren't in a free democracy where you can have an opinion. We are allowed the government approved opinion & and that's it. This poem, its acceptance & defense of it as not being racially biast has far deeper implications than we think. To say racism only goes up the chain is an excuse to endorse utu. Wake up people we are being weaponized against each other. How about a little love thy neighbor

oh my god! Two thoughts! First, Sean, I am personally very grateful for your efforts in covering this issue, which, I should say, becoming the bully from government offices, both by the Human Rights Commission and the Media Council. Second, I would like to reassure you, you know the definition of racism well. According to the Oxford Dictionary: racism is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. This definition is currently spindoctored by New Zealand's relevant institutions. They take the typically as the basis. But, you can see, it is not. I am a migrant in New Zealand, now having residency too, but after these developments, I am having second thoughts. It is not the New Zealand I came to love 15 years ago.

More or less. Last direct descendent of the Moriori people passed away around 2008 or so. They were hunted down and expulsed from the Taranaki region and still persecuted by the maori in their retreat in the Chathan Islands. An administrative oversight mistakedly did not recognize the Moriori as a distinct group separate from their Maori antagonists which doomed them to lack any legal representation to defend their case and the maori continued to exploit and attack even their fishing and hunting rights in the chathams. The maori waited until the last descendent died before admitting anything about the link. My standard 4 teacher knew of them but recognized the dispute. The maori considered them inferior and used them as slaves and food .

What I cannot understand, is why are some books are being rewritten? Classic literature is being "edited" or as some put it "kept up to date". Roald Dahl is an example and James Bond books. Authors/writers are artists, as are poets and painters. So I find it intriguing that writers (artists) are having their books "altered". Who has the right to do this? If this poem/performance is OK to stay in its form as the artist intended, then books should also be as the writers had intended. This is all censorship and it is very much flawed as it favours a particular narrative and that is the danger.

I was (skinhead) early Friday drinking in a sleepy bar in Wellington, early 80's (where I knew Sean at Uni), when an Islander standing next to me suddenly floored me with a punch after twenty minutes or so in absolute silence. She is a dramatist who is switching the narrative to make a point. I'm glad of the honesty though. At least it should allow for a conversation to be had. The problem is: can there can be a conversation about how angry people are, and how it can be worked on fairly? If you're aware of your hurt and own prejudices that's a starting point for healing.
