I didn't grow up with F-Zero or Super Mario Kart on my old SNES. I grew up with Top Gear on the SNES. It plays pretty similar to F-Zero with you having multiple different car options, the ability to choose whether you want automatic or manual gear shifting, you only have a certain amount of Nitros you can use per race. However the major difference was the pit stop; you have a fuel meter and when that gets low, the game will warn you to hit a pit stop. While you're in the pit stop, the gauge will slowly fill but the longer you take in there, the more cars pass you buy.

Snes mario kart was one of my favorites too. My cousin and I would race each other for hours when she was over. It's cool F-Zero has that healing patch, otherwise I don't know how you're supposed to win, lol.

Personally I prefer racing games like Top Gear, F-Zero and Horizon Chase Turbo over Mario Kart.
