@@Theonly_z_Officialnot really. my interpretation of it is that since shes in fetal position, theres nine more tracks/music videos to portals, and typically 9 months of pregnancy (like the comment said) and the ninth song after faerie soiree is womb. so at the end of faerie soiree she says “i keep leaning to die in all of my dreams” and the meaning of the some womb is about rebirth and becoming maybe your better self, true self, or just a whole new you. so “i keep leaning to die” means she wants to rebirth into this new person she wants to be, like she states in womb. (sorry if that didnt make sense, but thats my interpretation.)

All of Melanie's albums tell a story, they are concept albums. In the story of this album PORTALS, this song tells how the character of Melanie arrives in the fantasy world after death and how all the fairies receive her. Although she still feels that her soul is contaminated with resentments from the earth. Like one of her lines at the end: While I'm covered in muck from the earth and the sea I keep leaning to dying in all of my dreams. The following song and video clip talks about this whole topic.

the song is about the feelings you get after drugs. You are happy and dizzy just like in the first part of the song. Then everything turns back to normal. The „somewhere on venus” part where the tempo slows down is about the drug effect stoping. When she starts climbing the flower it symbolises going out of drug addiction and finding peace 1:07 actually at the beginning there are words! when she comes out of the red liquid the lyrics are „pa-parida” which means „birth” in spanish

I interpret the song to be inspired by a mushroom trip and also the fae from ancient European folklore. Fairy type creatures that capture people in their circle and force them to dance. The videos is sort of based in the afterlife, between lives, which is why the album starts with the song Death and ends with Womb. Every song transitions into the next including the first and last tracks making the album and endless loop (she starts and ends the album with "death is life is death is life is death"). The fairy creature is her spirit. The song at the end she says "gather me, all of we, I've been the boys and the girls, and everyone in between" referencing the many lives she's lived and their collective experiences. The whole album is very conceptual and based in fantasy, yet the songs are all rooted in reality and relatable which is so smart. She's going to make a video for every song so I can't wait for more!

I’m pretty sure that’s an IV but from the earth since they are faeries. This song is about a an occasion where you are having a shroom trip with friends. “Laced with love intensive grooving.” She is not dead the character transforms as every song progresses through the album.

The album is about the experiences of the afterlife in another realm until the rebirth of the soul. Each song tansitions to the next telling a continuos story about the afterlife process described in books about regressions and hypnotherapies. The album starts with the track Death and ends with the track Womb which describes the start of a new being. Everything in between is what has been described as the process a soul goes through, void is the second stage, then a tunnel, then greeted by other souls in Fairee Soiree, then a cleaning process of the soul with light and so on…. Each track not only describe that process but they all have multiple meanings that can be applied to our life experiences, this song very much also describe the feeling of being high just like Void also describes the anxiety and overthinking and self criticism that makes us spiral. So don’t take one interpretation as the right one, she wrote every song with multiple meanings while they all connect to each other as one continuous story within the album.

In her first album “Crybaby” she tells us about Crybaby’s traumatic childhood with drvgs and family issues, in her second album “K-12” she talks about Crybaby’s schoollife in a narcissist school (she also made a film of the album you should watch it) in the end she escape k-12 and enters a portal that lead her to the last album “Portals”, in portals, Crybaby dies and reincarnates to a pink four eyed creature that has to experience life( as the first track is “Death” and the last “Womb”).
