5 years ago, damn... I remember watching this for the first time (was still working in video game publication back then). The team throwing pitch ideas for skeleton articles to write before the presentation so that when they actually revealed the game, we would just need to flesh out the article and publish it right away. I pitched RE2 Remake and my editor was like, sure lol but I doubt it. As soon as I saw the rat in the video, I KNEW that it was RE2 Remake. The chills I got... this game is a masterpiece and will no doubt go down as one of Capcom's - or even gaming's - best remakes of all time.

i had just finished elementary school and didnt know this game had even been revealed. i was still a fan of the older RE games but wasnt nearly as much of a fan as i am now. i didnt get to play this myself until summer 2022 after unfortunately already knowing the plot and the gameplay. despite this it's become my 2nd favorite game of all time following very close behind Skyrim
