Honestly, between the wholesomeness of Kratos and Mimir since the 2018 to the smaller jokes like "the hell's an 'olive?'", Every single one of these clips has represented why I love it all. They're all too good!!

I hope Mimir is in the next game. He has every right to see the story to completion now. he has a right to be there, he's family just like Pandora was/is. i can't be the only one who feels this way, right?

Wine is still around technically. Like how kratos and artreus found some in the first game. And I imagine there’s other lands with grapes, so it’s only a matter of time before they make wine. There’s also technically a type of wine found in the Nordic countries called mead. Except instead of grapes, they use honey.

Also, hearing Kratos chuckle about Mimir's story of the Laird and his brothers. That was epic! In the history of God of War, has anyone ever been able to get that man to chuckle?! HELL NO! You go, Mimir!! You da man! Uh... Da head!!! LOL
@zj0ker2082 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure the last time Kratos chuckled on screen was when he spitefully chuckled at Athena after stabbing himself with the Blade of Olympus.
@lotusjewell99842 жыл бұрын
@@zj0ker208 True, but as you say. It was a chuckle out of spite. What Mimir got from him, was an actual chuckle of being entertained. More of a 'good' chuckle'. Though....... if one were to really think about it. There was most likely a time when Kratos knew how to smile and laugh. Prior to the deaths of his first wife and daughter.

One thing I love about GOW: Ragnarok is how it not only shows Kratos’ change in character by how he raises Atreus but also by how he acquired and treated his weapons compared to the ones he had in Greece. He’s ripped the heads off of a couple of opponents and treated them as nothing more tools for how he sees fit, whereas Mimir asked Kratos to cut off his head, gives him counsel and the two have built a brotherly relationship. He considers him a brother, not some weapon or tool. A wise older brother he gets to hang on his belt lol. Same with Faye’s Axe, Leviathan. It was given to him in love and it always comes back to him, as opposed to Blades of Chaos… Which were forged out of Hate, Strife and Malice and given to him to be used solely as an instrument of war, to decimate all whom he saw fit, even the innocent. They too are destined to return to him. There’s a scene where he enters his home and throws down the Blades of Chaos, while he gently sets the Axe down next to him. He’s come such a long way but he’s still the same man from the beginning, just wiser… Better. A masterclass in storytelling 🎉

That's life. You either die young and reckless, grow into an old fool, or learn and grow. Wisdom is experience and intelligence combined. Part of being intelligent is not only being able to understand and question the world around you, but to understand and question yourself.

I love it. Kratos has 100% thought about frying something to eat on his blades _atleast_ once. I'm imagining him sitting in a cave, over a failed attempt at a campfire, holding some flint in one hand, and one of the blades in the other, just weighing his options.

Odin's dialogue as Týr really made me appreciate his character. As in, Odin, the character, can really get *into* character. That "He'll only cloud your mind" line has so many layers. On the one hand, he knows it's what he needs to say when they're all bashing Odin's name to make sure he doesn't stand out. But, clouding someone's mind is ambiguous, not really the kind of mental threat Odin really is. It could be Odin slightly bragging. Warning Atreus that Odin will cloud his mind, while he silently clouds everyone's mind around him. Such a good plot twist

Kratos truly has come a long way from his time in Greece. I'm really happy how he has finally gotten a form a peace he deserves after all he has done. He finally has a family that truly loves him for who he is. A friend he shares his confidences and relates well. And a home he can truly belong. Kratos is one of the best protagonists to exist in video games.

Its so refreshing to see kratos have empathy and bond with someone who he otherwise would never care for. Mimir is someone kratos needed in his life, he's smart, trustworthy and wise. He looks after both kratos and atreus like family. It feels like for the first time kratos has had someone look out for him genuinely and not selfishly like athena.
