I remember this. F.O.G.I. stands for "Free Our Glenis Immediately" (Not sure why it says Glen here). TV-AM introduced the character Glenis the Guinea Pig who was in captivity in a Harrods pet store, and Roland came up with the plan to release her. Everyone thought Roland was going to marry her, but apparently she was replaced with another character called Roxanne Rat...

Yeah I agree there’s something very strange going on here I don’t ever remember a Roland rat special before rubber dub top and also and diamond working on the weekend. Very weird.

This was the repeat of Operation Fogi on Sundays to appease viewers who complained that the half term it went out in hadn't coincided with the half term in their bit if the UK!

I continue to be frustrated that there's very little TVAM digital output particularly the weekends and Saturday and Sunday GMBS and things like the shed vision show just not available to watch I'm sure there would be a real market for semi geeks myself to watch some of this material even if bob subscription

Around that time, I heard of a girl (friend of a friend) who used to kiss George Michael's photo. I confess I used to kiss pics of Roland Rat (and kiss the TV screen when he was on). Now, my taste might now seem a tad embarrassing, in retrospect; but at least Roly had better "taste in women" than George Michael did!!!
