An incredible game! "Its amazing the position is so sharp with only 3 pieces each left" Man that is the truth! Vidit was great in defeat. 5 hours of intense struggle and just came up a bit short against a truly great player. No denying it Vidit has the heart of a lion and fights it out to the bitter end. It's always enjoyable to see him in action, so many of his games are decisive! Amazing to see his reaction with 33 sec left when he realizes it's over. A mix of pain and stunned disbelief. But it's OK though, he left it all at the table, with a really admirable performance. Chess Base India did a really great job with the coverage and analysis. Reminiscent of how boxing matches were covered back in the day! Very cool and adds to the excitement.!

Vidit, knows what he has to work on from now on.he is a candidate and people will not be suprised if he makes it in future candidates tournament. my heart goes out for him, would wake up middle of the night just to check his games, just to see if he is not in any trouble. he just has to stop second guessing himself and work with his coaches to find best moves in certain time limit. this practice alone could make him a world championship challenger.his play has been thrilling, fighting and exciting to watch.

Although Vidit meditated but Nepo was more in control of his emotions and probably that's why he's ahead in calculations under time pressure.
