It's nostalgic for me when I hear her words. In the beginning she says "Bhaisahab thumri gaane ke liye kisi aur ko bulaiye, mai to classical ga rhi hun, itna hi aata hai bas". These words of her touched me very deeply as I remember her with a heavy heart.

Thanks for the upload @Dipankar babu. Some how this sounds more a Bhairavi than a Bhairav. Blame it on my untrained ears! This seems to be part of a concert. Have you uploaded the other renditions too?

kiryaroy It is undoubtedly Kishori Amonkar. That voice is unmistakeable, plus Ashwini Bhide does not use a swarmandal, and would not call Pt. A.T. Kanan (in the audience) Kanan Bhaiya. The recording seems to be from a concert in Calcutta, most likely ITC SRA.

Shiladitya Banerjee I think you are quite right -- my confusion is that the Sa = A in this recording and it may have been pitch adjusted by somebody and thus the voice does not sound quite natural -- this is the first recording I have heard her singing at so low a pitch -- most commonly she is in much more likely to be A# = Sa or sometimes B = Sa.

Shiladitya Banerjee I just tried shifting the pitch to Sa = A# and there is no doubt at that level -- this lower pitch make her voice sound a little strange

It is Kishori. If you listen to each bit of talk in the beginning it has an unmistakable Kishori stamp on the voice. Younger than the one you are used to perhaps!
