Good time to react to this as Ilayaraja just turned 80 today. This song was a vibe in theatres, the first thing I did after watching the movie was playing this song, at that time it was just around 1 million views but like me lot of people felt the vibe and it's around 30 million views now just after the release.

Jimmy and Buddymeister! That was an excellent reaction, and I admire both of your reactions. According to his official statement, Illayaraja has composed 1420 films. He writes the music notations only after the poet has written the song because he aligns them with the words. He doesn't take more than 5 minutes to write music notations for a single song. He also challenged the world music composers so that none of the films stayed in his studio for more than 3 days for background music, while all other composers took at least 2 to 3 months to score the background music. After the practice and rehearsals, he will finish the scene in one take. He never touches any of the musical instruments while writing music notations. Once written, everything is correct, and no overwriting, and further, he won't go for a change of notations. It would be like a caligraphy, as said by Hungarian conductor Laslo. That's why his background score for the film "Hey Ram" is kept as a lesson at Trinity College of Music - London.
