Erg bijzonder. Leuk om te zien dat je deze serie weer hebt opgepikt! Ik vind het nog steeds onbegrijpelijk dat de kijkcijfers zo laag zijn. Ik zie gelukkig wel dat sommige films goed zijn bekeken. Stug volhouden :-)

I *love* your channel, but this video didn't really show much of the History side??... It was mainly just modern buildings, with no context, But your channel generally is honestly one of my favourites on YT,

You should realize these were the only two period photos available for this subject.

The rest were probably destroyed?
@NiceButBites Жыл бұрын
@@carolinecow6 Yes I understand that, but that's not the point I'm making. In all the videos on the channel they feature lots of Old and Current photos, But this video only really had Current ones, so there weren't really any Old photos in it.

A lot of his pictures are made-up. The same faces are used over and over and there is no reason to believe they were ever standing there bec he does not show the full picture. Fake

Oh dear why not cut out any unpleasant memories of the past. Why should you have to make silly statements at the beginning in case some stupid tender person gas an attack of the vapours?

A 5 minute video purporting to be "now and then" with TWO pictures of "then" comprising a total together of 25 seconds. What a waste of time. I expected better. 👎👎👎👎👎

You should realize these were the only two period photos available for this subject, but it is a waste of my time telling you this.
@jcopp2031 Жыл бұрын
@@ruiterproductions "these were the only two period photos available for this subject" Bull$hit! The subject is "Vienna Now & Then." There are figuratively tens-of-thousands of photos of Vienna in the 1930s both before and after the Anschluss in March 1938. There are multiple hundreds of photos of Vienna during its time as part of Großdeutschland, both with and without Hitler. IMO, you should have been clear that this was ONLY about a few places where Hitler lived during his brief years in Vienna.

Dear Austrians, before (99.73% of) you start to believe in the myth that Austria was the first innocent victim of Nazi Germany I should kindly remind you about: Ernst Lerch, Odilo Globocnik, Ernst Kaltenbrunner, Franz Nowak, Alois Brunner, Franz Stangl, Adolf Eichmann, Siegfried Seidl and - I almost forgot - General Secretary of UN - Kurt Waldheim. My late godmother who spent as an inmate (prisoner number 25541) 3 years in KL Auschwitz clearly remembered that the SS Guards "building a new Europe" there were disproportionately represented by sons... and daughters of the Austrian nation to name a few: Fritz Ertl, Franz Wunsch, Maria Mandl, Hans Schurz, Günther Niethammer, Maximilian Grabner... My late granfather, a veteran of WWII remembered surrendering Wehrmacht soldiers in 1944 and 1945 who had strongly identified themselves as Austrians. Even in the Soviet prison camps Austrian POWs ostentatiously reminded the guards and the former German brothers-in-arms (und Volksgenossen) their ethnic origin. I cannot get my head around how French found themselves amongst the Great victorious powers, who defeated nazism.
