I'll tell you something I've only told like 2 ppl in my life. So funny story, I was once almost recruited by YG Himself. I was working at a mall post HS and he walked in. Well, he kept staring at me from outside of the store at first, (so I thought he was another one of those weird mall creepers 🤣) and, after he came in, he started asking me all sorts of weird questions. I didn't know who he was at the time but he asked me if I knew kpop so I started labeling off some SM artist/songs and he didn't look too good after that. 🤣 I'm not Korean so I only knew a few songs/artist from what my Korean friend played me -which she was mostly into ballads. So I only knew very, very, few of the pop ones at that time bc those were the digestible ones for non-korean speakers. I pretty much ignored the ballads bc I couldn't connect with that. I was into R&B/HipHop -2Pac at the time so I only half paid attention to what she was playing me. Daaaang! I missed my opportunity to work with BigBang/2NE1/BlackPink!! 🤣 But thinking back, at least I can feel good about myself that he thought I had IDOL potential off looks alone 🤣 *self boasting*
