I flew Vietnam Airlines in February 23 from FRA-SGN and i was extremely surprised about their service. I really have to say it was by far my best Economy longhaul experience. Everything was great from food to the excellent crew.

They have had some big improvements compare to the last time I flew with them internationally. I don't know whether hot towels and wines are only served on long-haul flights, or on all international flights, but it's so nice to see them. I'd love to try VNA long-haul service in the future.

As I live in Brisbane, Australia, I had to get a connecting flight on Qantas 737 to Melbourne. As part of the tour all our flights and hotels were included. We booked through Intrepid and our tour was also being promoted by Vietnam Airlines. We flew in September and on the way back, we also spent a few nights in Melbourne.

Fantastic film, thanks, Jayden. I have been to Thailand twice, recently, and would love to visit Viet Nam & Cambodia in the not-too-distant future. I also lived in Sydney for 30 years. Had wanted to fly on an A350 for many years, finally got onto one BNE-SIN (enroute to BKK), SIA, and although a beautiful, modern and quiet widebody, I was quite disappointed with the cabin. As cramped as the internal flights in Oz, narrow and cheap seats. The Dreamliner (B.787) is my favourite aircraft type at present. Your b/f is cute! An expat Kiwi? Thanks again, Jayden. yes A350 seats and 787 (if 9-abreast) are quite cramped. The older A330 is wider. He's a Sydneysider!

Vietnam Airways catering is amazing! Way better then any other airline, got a friend who is flying them in September! Great video as always and safe travels (it would be pretty cool if you could try flying Wamos Air (Under lease by ANZ) or Batik Air from Auckland to Perth!

Wamos Air ? It's famed for high density seating. Elder son took Wamos Air 747 JFK-LGW when this airline was being leased by Norwegian (which had issues with its 787s). Anyway my son told me that the seating was so tight and the 747 so crowded that he never wanted to repeat the experience !

This was very helpful as it's probably the route and Airline I'll fly on my first trip to Vietnam. Seeing the legroom was great too as your friend is about the same height as me and I'd been curious about that. Was the price you mentioned including flights to and from Adelaide?

I wish Vietnam Airlines cabin crew could've been more friendly that what I expect cuz it seems that the crew were fine at the moment you boarding but then during the service it seems that kinda lack of emotion and seems to be a bit unfriendly, though the meal looks absolutely fantastic. I mean, the passengers in front of you could be regarded as "World's most annoying passengers of 2023" lol😂. Considering the price, do you think Bamboo Airways is a better option for this route? Because when I look it up, I can buy that Vietnam Airlines SGN-SYD price for AUD830, but it's a return journey with Bamboo Airways, which is really cheap and considering that they are a full-service airline as well. well I was seated right behind that passenger so every time I interacted with the crew, they would have just dealt with that guy so I don’t blame them for being a bit moody😂😂 Bamboo is usually cheaper but 787 (narrower). Good food too but less exciting compared to Vietnam Airlines.

1:35 I went to the burger king there last year and for a meal bundle it was displayed as "19,9" and i thought it meant 199,000VND which is about $12AUD, however it actually meant $19USD which is mad expensive 🤣.

@@JaydenWong as for your mystery dessert, that is called che in vietnamese, there are multiple variants of che, but if you liked it a lot and want to try some in Australia, there is a place on Lonsdale st Melbourne called "che desserts", probably the most authentic thing you can get here, I highly recommend if you are in Melbourne sometime!

ho chi minh Always at the airport when transfer from domestic to international or vice versa. 2 h 40m is enough the terminals are very close to each other :) I did Hanoi-Ho chi minh-Sydney it was very easy :)

Your friend is 6'4" and he was brave taking an economy seat like that. What if the person in front of him reclines? I'm nearly 6'3" and I would either pay for a bulkhead or exit row, or not go.
