Hello am moving to moving to Vietnam soon how can I get an apartment help
@gmm55503 ай бұрын
My tip after working and living and traveling all over se asia over +15 years now is: Explore the city, move around..use hotels guesthouses airbnb at least 14 days or more so u get a feel for the city and districts and vibes before u look for a condo to rent. Learn the public transport's..learn how to get around. its not only the condo that is important, its the area and i've seen many over the years here in Bangkok where i'm located , having great affordable condos but well they live in a boring expensive area filled with other expats or living in extremely busy areas where here are no calm or relax.

Useful advice 👍

@@ninja.teacher just my 5 cents..haha.. most se-asian city's can be totally different district to district..like alot of smaller city's in the city. Same with the prices and transports and food scene

Nice video but it's clearly made for and priced for foreigners and short term are always more expensive. I live not too far from that area in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom for 9mil ($365usd) overlooking a quiet park and river. Its always best to deal directly with the owner and not the realtors as they usually take a months commission on a 1 year rental

This was such a helpful video, thanks Alex! Partnering with Minh seems like a great idea. It's nice to know a trusted realtor in Ho Chi Minh and from what you've both shared there seems to be more reasonably priced accommodations (with more appealing features) than what I've seen on AirBnB. Going to message Minh. See you all in HCMC soon!

10.5 for a studio apartment in Binh Thanh 😂,excluding the price for water, electricity and the noise from karaoke, roosters and dogs. I live in Grand Park and I pay the same price for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the 33rd floor. Also comes with a huge swimming pool, the Vincom mega mall is next door, Vincom wonderland is opening soon and I can get a free bus to D1.

If you solely want to be an ESL teacher, life in China like Shanghai and Beijing is a 10x better option. I’ve lived in both Vietnam and China. No brainer decision. Only choose Vietnam or Thailand if you work remotely and need stable crisp internet connection.

Can you do month by month ?? do you need to sign a year contract ?
@ninja.teacher3 ай бұрын
Most landlords won't do month to month. You can use AirBnb for short term rentals.
@KevinAndrewJones3 ай бұрын
No you can't, you may be able to do a 6 month contract but you'll have to leave either a 1 month or 2 month deposit, it's usually the latter.

Hello am moving to moving to Vietnam soon how can I get an apartment help
@lunang88644 күн бұрын
The local will only pay 250$, which is 6M vnd for this room. All these kind of apartment is not rented directly from landlord but from a person who rent the whole Building and then sublet each room, they also make profit from electricity. The rate from Gorvermen is only 2.500 vnd/kw but this apartment will charge you 4000 or 4500vnd/kw. I have a 60m2 apartment with 2 aircons which I pay directly to government always just around 250.000vnd/moth.
@ninja.teacher4 күн бұрын
There's no way anyone is paying 6 million for this apartment in Phu Nhuan district, only 2 minutes away from Phan Xich Long street. I don't think it's any secret that foreigners typically pay slightly more than locals to account for additional admin costs like registering the foreigner at the local police station. But not that much of a difference. 🙂

Sure, youre selling i course but we all know your course is not the only way to start teaching in Vietnam. Could you do a video on the exact steps people have to do in order to start this job? You could cover what courses are the best with budget, how to look for a job, how to apply etc essential info.

I finally made it to Vietnam! Thank you for all your helpful videos, by the way. They gave me the push I needed. How can I contact the man from the video? I've been here two months, only staying at hotels, but I am getting very exhausted from this travel lifestyle. I need to find myself an apartment with a kitchen so don't have to worry about where my next meal will be, and can spend more time and energy focusing on my job search. The problem is I don't know anyone here and don't know who to trust, and I can't speak the language well enough to make sure im not getting scammed into a bad lease. Thanks, as usual!
