A one week food supply normally costs me $100. Living in a small apartment in California, I paid $443 for my last month gas/electricity bill, and I most of the time tried to avoid using my AC during the peak hours (16:00-21:00). It usually costs me about $250/month. I think I can live my best life there in DaNang.

Yes this past month I spent $750 total by myself. If I downgrade from a two bedroom down to a one bedroom I can get that down to about $550.

The more golden the pineapple the more ripe if it looks green then it will be ready next weekend. I get a gold one then a green one then i'm set. the first one you touch its gold on the bottom so it should be ready in 2 days. Hope this helps!

When choosing a pineapple, pick the ones that are more green ish, squeeze the bottom portion, if it's green and not soft on the bottom is good2go However, if you plan on eating the whole pineapple in 2 days then pick one that's more yellow

And I actually spend a little more than most people do on rent here and I still only spend $750 at the most oer month for everything. But I'll post that new budget video really soon.

I have got a bunch of requests asking why I don't offer a service here in da nang where I show people around give them tips and advice on where to stay or what to do basically like an orientation of the city. I have really thought about doing that because I have learned a lot being here also traveling the past 5 years. And I'm very budget conscious so if I can figure out a way to do that I probably would. I need to look into that for sure.

Basically the two real options is taking a flight from here to Bangkok the last time I did that it cost me $130 round trip. You would have to wait in Bangkok 3 to 5 days to get your new EVisa. You could pay an agent to expedite it same day for an additional 50 or $60 I believe it is. Your second option is to take a bus from here to Laos almost the same price but you get everything done in one day basically get on the bus at 6:00 in the morning and return back by 6:00 at night.

It's normal that imported foods are expensive. I am Vietnamese living in Canada and the prices of imported foods are crazy as well: . Dragon fruit $4.99 each and rarely it's fresh . 40 gr of cashew $3.99

So my favorite was Dominika that is the one that I was too late to put down a deposit. The second apartment that I looked at was called pura vida. That was the cheapest option at right around $300 a month. The apartment I'm currently staying at is called Muong thanh I've been there on and off for about a year. Look out for my new apartment video that I'm going to be uploading in about a day or so I have a few other apartments that I checked out I think you'll be interested.

Yep that's where I'm saying. That's exactly what I pay including water electricity internet Wi-Fi and Netflix. I negotiated good where I didn't need to put down a security deposit and I'm on a month-to-month contract. Also I included having electricity built into the rent cost.

The one exception of what's cheaper elsewhere that I found is ground beef which I showed in this video. All the other meats are cheaper at Moon milk than the butcher shop. Last year I left in September. I'm going to be here all the way till January this year. Usually September through January is the rainy season not sure how much rain there will be this year, but it definitely won't be as hot and expect some rain.

@@DaNangadventurer so I've actually done both last year I was actually doing a flight border run to Bangkok every single month before they brought in the 90-day Visa. About a month and a half ago I did the bus run to Laos. So basically they're almost the same price but the bus run is better only if you want to come back the same day. If you don't mind staying in Bangkok for 3 or 4 days until you get the new evisa then do that. But if you want to get everything done in the same day do the bus run.

What’s up Will, I live in Florida I am a carnivore 90% of my meat is beef, from what I see in that butcher shop plus they have US prices, is there anywhere else you can get a cheaper beef or steaks? So in the past I've always left by September. This year I'll actually be here all the way to the end of the year. So everyone says that rainy season is from September to basically December or early January. But we've had very little rain so far. That would be the rainiest time I just don't know how much rain is actually going to come this year. Some locals believe there's going to be a good amount of rain and some locals think that there's not going to be that much rain. So it's really hard to tell. But it will not be as humid and hot during that time as earlier in the year. Also the rumor is you get better rental prices at that time

They actually just raised the price of eggs a couple weeks ago. But they are still very cheap the cost one dozen eggs is 36,000 vnd or $1.40. and the ground beef of course is from cows. At the butcher shop they even have imported beef from Australia and New Zealand and a few other places that you can purchase.

Myself personally 99% of the time I just use cash. Some places do accept card but I just usually have cash on me and it's much more easier and simple. They use an app out here called zalo. I don't have it and I don't use it but everything I practically buy including my rent I pay in cash. But at the bigger stores you could pay with debit card too.

Dairy is more expensive because they don't have cows. I think they have hybrid cows/water buffalos that can handle the heat and that is where domestic beef comes from. I don't think dairy cows can handle the heat so that's probably all imported, unless they have them in the far northern part of Vietnam.

Yep that's a big part of the reason why beef is not so cheap. Pork and chicken is much cheaper. But throughout the world pork and chicken is always cheaper than beef as well.

the cost of feeding cows is much higher than feeding pigs or chickens, fishes here then even local beef, dairy cows get higher price than imported pigs, chicken...but the local dairy milk like Vinamilk is quite cheap compared to imported milk. They have a big cow farm factory in the plateau of North VN n they are also a billion dollar stock company. The price in VN now compared to 20 years ago was much more reasonable to local ppl for daily cost living.

They are definitely cheaper than the United States but they're probably about double the price that I'm paying now in that range. I've never been sick here eating any food while traveling also. So I would say for myself I've been happy with everything here.

@@enzos711 shoot I didn't know I missed that. But how I found the apartment I been at for a while was by joining Facebook ex pat group in the city. Then I left a post on the group. A bunch of people messaged me and I negotiated with the owner and got a nice deal. The other apartments you seen k. Been watching hotel and apartment reviews in DaNang. From what I've seen, pretty much should have enough to pay on the spot or lots of time, you'll lose the ability to get the place.......like in your case. But, I'm sure it will work out the way it's supposed to !

@@JackVoorheis nice. I would recommend joining the danang expat group and posting your requirements, or actually walking into apartments in person that you like and asking. Or you could always look in agoda or Airbnb. 👍👍

yeah in asia, we considred the cheese, milks, cream as premium, because that's not kind of a staple food here that people consume everyday. Most of Asians will have different meals, and it cheaps. Unlike for westerners, milk, cheese thats an everyday staple meal that they consumed daily. But yeah, thats the downside. coz i love milk. and cheese. :(

It's very crazy how expensive it is some of the stuff that I used to get cheap in the USA are so expensive here. But then you go to a local restaurant and get good food for like $2. 😅
