Tip for crossing street in Vietnam: Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! motor-bykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not runs and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid of and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- traffic in Vietnam.

FYI those little sparrows are usually sold at the door of some temples and pagodas in Vietnam to the devote Buddhist followers who want to do some good action towards animals by giving them freedom after buying them . Besides birds some vendors also sell fishes , eels and turtles for the same purpose . In Vietnam this good gesture is called `Phong Sanh `. According to Buddhism , not only all humans but even animals have the right to live and to be free . On the first and 15th day of each lunar calendar month , many Vietnamese Buddhist people go to the pagodas , eat vegan and give freedom to animals .

That purple stuff is shrimp paste . You can add a few drops to your soup to enhance the flavor if you want , but never deep your noodle , vegetables or meat in there , because it`s very salty and stinks terrible . Not many Vietnamese people can eat that sauce .

You might not really know HCMC , but the Chinatown there is a large area ( D5 , D11 , Phu Lâm , etc...) , so the place where he was ( An Dong market ) is also part of Chinatown . An Dong , Kim Biên , Binh Tây markets are all in Cho Lon (Chinatown) . If you want to go to a specific spot in Cholon , you have to tell the Grab or taxi driver exactly the place you want to go , not just Chinatown

Did you bought a motorbike already? Btw the common motorbikes they have there in Vietnam looks like 10-15 years old here in Indonesia. I think at the price that you are willing to pay you would be looking at some old motorbikes too like 10 years old (?) Also you probably looking at bikes with manual transmission at that price (maybe some Vietnamese guys here can confirm?). You should spend a whole day with that Gojek/Grab (mans got Gojek helmet with Grab jacket haha) driver to find a motorbike so you can make sure that it's worth.
