Some people don't like all the hustling and think it's annoying, but tourist need to understand that sometimes they go months without a tourist visiting so it really helps when they get visitors. I'm always amazed at how good the English is of people who live in the country of a non English speaking nation. Even though I know it's usually because the world watches US(and Brit)shows and movies and listens to our music a lot(and have for decades). But it still amazes me. It puts a big smile on my face when I see someone who most would never guess would speak English speak it so well as Zee does. Yea it kind of sucks because many who just watch our shows think Americans are like what they see on tv and movies and not what the average one is like but it's whatever. I still love to see it. Plus it makes for easier traveling for us English speakers.

I'm not gonna say that their life isn't hard and they could not do with more things etc... but this discussion reminds of a woman I met in Australia. She was in her 40s when she told me this story 20 years ago. So she was likely talking about 1970s Western Australia. She said when she was young, she grew up in a shack with a huge family and she said they basically had no possessions. One day some white folks (yes she used this term) from the government came to their place and told them that they were poor. She said everyone was shocked and responded no. She said she never thought of herself like that nor did the rest of her family. She said she didn't even think they were missing anything as they always had food and sleept under a tin roof. Just an anecdote I thought some of you may find interesting.
@Dragonfury30005 ай бұрын
@@leebaxtertrading didn't said they weren't happy. They deserve happiness and poverty gets in the way many times. I was fortunate to have had a very happy childhood and I'm thankfull. Even Harald felt the need to buy a football (latest video) that's how little these kids have.

@@HaraldBaldr nice story, I also met an aborigine woman in her sixties, 10 years ago when I did my 1 year work&holiday adventure in Australia; she also was from WA, 1 hour from Perth, in the middle of nowhere. Now she lives alone in a huge house the government "gave" her. I stayed with her for a couple of months while working in a farm nearby.
