I fell in love with this one. Absolutely fantastic! Super 8 gives it such a unique feel. A modern camera would have without a doubt bring more details and sharpness and accurate color rendering but let's honor the old way. Such an artistic view, such a beautiful video. Thanks for this

Wow, this is so amazing, thank you guys for sharing this, truly. There’s something very eye opening about the simplicity of the lives of the people over there, it’s such a different world compared to what we see here in the west and it really makes you think about life, dreams, goals and the meaning of it all, if all the things we fight for and all the problems we think we have here in the west are really problems. Great video guys, thanks 🙏

Beautiful cinematography. I know its so overwhelming, to save film when you have beautiful scenery in front of you, you cant help but shoot 1 or 2 seconds of each, especially that bridge, where I wish it was at least 3 to 4 seconds, but with less than 3 minutes on super8, you want to get more shots on there and I would be doing the same haha

Thanks! It's shot in 18fps which is standard for super 8. The Nizo 801 can also shoot at 24fps and 54fps so I'll be giving that a go at some point soon

What labs can process super 8 film? Love the video!

Hey Brian, I used on8mil (www.on8mil.com/) for the processing on this one. They're based in London and do a great service

i hope you don't get offended :) how come they are so many cuts? is it budgetary reasons, not enough film or busy shooting?. don't get me wrong, it's fantastic what you have captured, but a little suggestion if you are interested in filming stuff, is to cut film through feeling and or cutting with the rhythm of a music that you wanna make :) overall, a great and a beautiful capture with the film! :D
@acadia58985 жыл бұрын
btw i had to subscribe, because you have great eye in photography :)

Generally we're shooting quite short clips to save the film. But we're also editing it down to make it a bit more quick paced for the edit.
@tassadar19775 жыл бұрын
This was my first reaction as well. Cuts are too short. But I know what it's like to shoot Super 8, you end up being very careful. Maybe too careful. Still, love the journey you took us on here.

@@radicaleyemag TBH I love the fact that the pace is nice and quick. I think it really helped me engage in the film.

John Umina looking to buy my first super 8 film camera and that actually crossed my mind. Aren’t you spending like $40 for 3 minutes of recording time? And not to mention it has to be digitalized! So correct me if I’m wrong but, every time you press on the trigger with film inside, it’ll record? Stupid question I know but I’ve never owned one but am dying to!

Great movie! How did you correct the tungsten color of Vision 3 200T? Did you use a warming filter, or correct it digitally? Thanks!
