Should foreigners invest in Vietnam? The short answer is no. And the long answer is NO. In VN, no one is above the law except the communist party. To be successful, you'd have to grease many "officials" only to see your success (and your freedom) be taken away by other "officials". Remember, if you become too influential (money and/or popularity) the party will cut you down because it benefits them in two ways: (1) get rid of a potential threat to their evil power and (2) "inherit" your wealth making them even stronger.

@BinhTran-mj4di, who is "Bro"? The comparison was never about net worth or who’s sitting in jail. It’s about wealth rankings within their respective countries. Trinh Van Quyet was one of Vietnam’s top billionaires, just as Elon Musk is in the U.S. We’re comparing their positions in their national economies, not their personal circumstances. And while Musk’s net worth has soared, it doesn’t change the fact that both dominated their business landscapes. It’s apples to apples when it comes to wealth rankings in their own countries.

@duongglobalbusinessconsulting3 ай бұрын
@huntermann2630 We understand why some may feel that way, but let us set the record straight. We are not here to "kiss up" to anyone-we provide a clear, factual analysis of the situation. Foreign investors are not fleeing; in fact, many see the recent crackdown as a necessary step to clean up fraud and make Vietnam an even better investment destination. What you see as fleeing is actually a recalibration, and smart investors recognize the long-term potential. The truth is, if Vietnam were collapsing under corruption, the government wouldn't be taking such drastic measures to clean it up. We invite you to take a step back and see the bigger picture. Facts over speculation.

@@duongglobalbusinessconsultingUsing "we" and "us" in your reply seems to imply you're a bit too cozy with the communist regime. If you're offended by that, well, that’s understandable. @duongglobalbusinessconsulting3 ай бұрын
Not that your comment matters but let us be clear: using “we” and “us” is a matter of professionalism and credibility, as well as the fact that Attorney Ken is not replying (he couldn't care less), not allegiance. We are business and legal consultants, and our priority is delivering clear and accurate analysis to investors. The truth is, every country has its own political challenges, and Vietnam is no exception. Yes, fraud is a reality, but so is the government’s crackdown on it-which is exactly what we’re discussing. We don't deny the issues, we highlight them so smart investors can navigate the landscape with open eyes. And as for history lessons, we suggest you look at modern economics instead. Because in today’s world, it’s those who see the future-not just the past-who make the smartest moves. Best of luck.

@Huntermann0893 Fair enough, but understanding the past is just one piece of the puzzle. We focus on the future because that’s where the opportunities lie.
