Vietnam's Worst Sleeper Train 🇻🇳

Myself, ‪@baldandbankrupt‬ and ‪@TimKyoutube‬ headed south in Vietnam but in order to get there we had to take an overnight sleeper train. It was for 14 hours and cost $50, would you take this train? 🇻🇳

That train was bloody luxury compared to the one I went on 10 years ago. The toilet consisted of just a hole in the floor back then.

I don't know why you guys don't travel with earplugs. It's safe enough to use them since you're in a safe country and not solo. The malleable silicone ones for swimming are the best. Literally the third thing of things to bring for me when traveling after passport and credit card.

hi Vietnamese here, I've been on this type sleeper train before. I went on a school trip with my class and the coach we were in only had 4 beds per cabin, so it was more peaceful and it's definitely better to be in one with people you know than random strangers. also the black knob above the outlet is the announcer volume control, I also messed with it on our trip cuz me and my mates thought it was to adjust the AC.... we were all bombarded with train stop announcements the whole night. though I'd travel on it again, it's pretty fun to go with a big group and book a whole coach for your group. the toilet there is definitely not fun.

You definitely should have gone for the sleeper bus not the train hahaha - the snoring bit had me in stitches 😂 The sleeper buses in Vietnam are amazing

Train are not bad If you are not being cheap , go for the 4 bed more expensive but it great if you are in group of 3 or 4 , here they just being cheap and op for 6 bed room 😂

A great video, thank you very much! I remember those sleeper trains in Vietnam well. If you buy your tickets earlier the same day, or the day in advance, you can by chance get the lower bunk beds. In summer season sleeping in the upper ones can be really torturing. For travels I always take earplugs and eye-covers with me, as the snoring or the keep-the-lights-switched-on roommates are more than abundant throughout the world.

I once flew business class (!!!) from Beijing to Frankfurt by a Chinese airline, and a drunk Chinese businessman in my row was snoring just like that for the entire flight. He passed out as soon as we got in and began roaring mad. The crew apologised but ignored all our pleas to wake him up. His wife kept smiling apologetically but did absolutely nothing to stop his snoring. Good thing I had noise cancelling earphones, had to sleep while blasting music into my ears… I still don’t understand why the crew chose to let him go like that for 12 hours straight.

Was on that same type of old school sleeper train in Vietnam. Had the top bunk also and froze all night from the AC. Also thought the train was gonna go off the tracks at times, had to hold on to the bar so I wouldn’t fly off the bed.

Added in or not, the snoring had me tearing up laughing!!!! And those hats are awesome! I've got one and wear it hiking, fishing etc. Light, good shade and doesn't make your head sweat!! But yeah, people laugh seeing me wear it!
