Vietnamese Beef Stew - Banh Mi Bo Kho Recipe

Vietnamese Beef Stew.
NY Strip 🥩 cubes marinated in 5 spice|ginger|🧄|ginger powder, sazón, 🐟 sauce, sugar, rice wine vinegar, 🍊 juice, soy sauce & sesame oil. Cooked with 🧄, shallots, star anise, cinnamon stick, lemongrass, 🍅 sauce (substitute for 🍅 paste), 🥩 beef stock & 🥕 for an hour and a half. Remove lid for last 10-15 minutes so water can evaporate and sauce will thicken.
Served with toasted Italian bread.

Thank you so much, beef marinated with fish sauce, sugar, 5 spice and sazon + annato powder. The red sauce is tomato sauce.

I Love food. Its like the perfect melding of cultures through tumultuous times. For example This dish would likely never had existed without the French influence on the region. Along with a few other dishes

Its just food. The french brought cows but ox are common in Asia. Bread is a middle eastern invention and carrots are Roman. Many cultures inspire each other through trade and colonization.
