I've tried many versions of this recipe but this is by far comes very close to the authentic flavour I remember when I visited Vietnam 3 yrs. Goes a lot with many Filipino dishes.

Hello, my chili is a bit bitter. Why is that?
@mamahongskitchen2 жыл бұрын
Hi, im thinking maybe the heat was a little too high. Or it could also be the brand of chili flakes you might have used. I used the Mc Cormick brand.

What is ghee?
@mamahongskitchen2 жыл бұрын
Ghee is clarified butter where they filter out the water and milk content on the butter and it has a very nutty notes. Can even use to pop popcorn!

Hello…what brand of ghee…
@mamahongskitchen Жыл бұрын
Hi, i believe i was using the Organic Valley
@Coolybanana6 ай бұрын
You can make your own ghee by separating the fat and milk from butter by cooking it. Ghee is the oil that comes out of it once separated.

DISCLAIMER TO ANYONE MAKING THIS: it’s not 3 cups and 3/4 of a cup it’s 3 Lots of 3/4 cups
@mamahongskitchen2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I looked back at my description and can see that might confuses some people who are not used to reading recipes. It’s actually 3 cups AND 3/4th cups of oil. Like how in baking recipe they WRITE 1 1/2 cup flour meaning that it’s 1 cup AND 1/2 cup of flour
