We have these sesame ball donuts at our local farmer's market in Oshkosh Wisconsin. They are amazing. Central Wisconsin has a large southeast Asian population and there is a lot of great Hmong, Thai and Vietnamese foods here. I'm sure it's even better in Vietnam but your video has helped me confirm the authenticity of much of our local Asian cuisine. I love this food!

Peanut Friends: i've come to my friend home at Minnesota 01 month. I traveled around Minnesota and its neighbor, Wisonsin too. I've tried a lot of Asian food there. The fact was that Can not Compared to Vietnam! Come over Vietnam and prove yourself! If Vietnamese food was not really delicious, then A.Bourdain, Gordon Ramsay, Luke Nguyen, Martin Yan and many other famous chefs would not come to Vietnam and highly praised Vietnamese food!

OMG! That pho looked so good. I've wanted to travel to Vietnam for over 15 years now. Alas, my health (and thus, finances) will probably never let me go. I'll have to 'travel' vicariously through you and Michelle and your many journeys. I love how fresh the ingredients look. I can almost smell them. Just as well Sydney has so many Asian restaurants- especially Thai and Vietnamese. I'll have to explore them further now.

Banh trang tron is made of rice paper - the same kind that's used to wrap the Vietnamese style spring/eggrolls with. With those doughnut balls, in North Vietnam it's called banh ran but in South Vietnam it's known as banh can. They're filled with sweet mung bean paste. Not sure where you are in Australia but if you're ever in Sydney, head down to Cabramatta for Vietnamese food. Pretty sure you'll find everything you tried besides the coconut ice cream thing.
