THANKS! I love Vietnamese Spring Rolls. I have some rice paper handy, and I'm ready to go! GREAT summer meal. I use a Hoisin/Peanut dipping sauce. Delicious. I like your technique of using the lettuce as a bed to place the other ingredients. I think it makes it easier to roll.

I'm certainly no expert, but made both versions. Copied from Wikipedia : Gỏi cuốn, Vietnamese spring roll, is a Vietnamese dish traditionally consisting of pork, prawn, vegetables, bún, and other ingredients wrapped in Vietnamese bánh tráng Chả giò also known as Nem rán (fried spring roll) in the North, is a popular dish in Vietnamese cuisine and usually served as an appetizer in Europe and North America, where there are large Vietnamese communities. The first is the one kvalifood is showing. Food wrapped in bánh tráng sheets. The second recipe is a deep fried version and is wrapped in a different kind of rice paper
