That's why peregrine falcons always attack horned owls whenever they spot them during the day and will not stop chasing them until get away from their sight. You will always notice this but peregrine flacon always choose to attack the horned owl first over it's prey if it goes out to hunt. They both are rival birds.

Our nervous system is wired like theirs. The mother falcon knows that something tragic just happened and that everything has changed, though she couldn't have seen it. She knows that something is gone, and that she just went through a terrifying ordeal. It's that painful rush of electrical frenzy within nerves that comes after a shock. The natural reaction is to scream and scream and scream.

Please attach Spark light which lights automatically against moving objects only in the night so that owls cannot open their eyes.

Is that nest box suitable for the falcons? It seems to offer little protection from the front. Perhaps a glass screen can be installed to protect the chicks but enable viewing.

Seriously? Lol How about they install plumbing so they can get a drink of clean water too? This is nature. Owl may have chicks that need to eat too. They've had successful years in this nest box and not successful years. That happens with every nest.

Watch the video of a Falcon snatch two baby robins from their nest with no mother around. The third robins so scared it leaves the nest. So this is kinda what goes around comes around.
