The 2nd story gives me hope. It always carries more weight when I experience generosity and/or friendliness from strangers who, comparatively, have much less than me. While there are many friendly people in my home country, too often the first instinct is to just watch, look away or even be rude.

To anyone thinking about coming to Bangkok with kids, there are amusement parks here. Two with roller coasters and stuff, one safari park and one small water park. There are also Madame Tussauds and Sea Life. In Pattaya area there are two large water parks as well. So don’t think there aren’t anything like that for kids around here. If you buy your tickets to these venues in advance on sites like Klook or Trip you get them much much cheaper than if you pay at the door.

Very pleased for the Taxi driver from last week. Like everyone else I thought 'what a gullible mug!' But it could happen to anyone. Going over early Oct. myself, staying for a month in Pattaya, and yes, it's my first time! If he reads this then I wish him well and hope things turn out better for him this time..

Some comments say she had to be a working girl, many forget that generally young people are attracted to young people. At the end of the day if some facts were not divulged, nevertheless things worked out well. The lad had a different positive outlook, an extra stride in his step and some very good stories for his new class mates. Thanks Peter, a different story that .gives you pause for thought.

Thailand changed my life in a big way during my early 20s too. What it did was show me that beautiful women are abundant and that probably saved me from ending up chasing and settling down with a horribly entitled woman from the West. I feel fortunate to now be approaching 40 without having had a divorce or miserable marriage under my belt 😅 If more men had an "abundance mentally" rather than putting up with really horrible treatment from females, maybe society would be a bit better 🤔 Just my 2 cents.

"Sawaa Dee kaa" - basically means "Hello & Welcome" Sawaa = Hello, Dee = Good, kaa = (politeness, female to a male) "Why do Thai always say Ka? Ka/krub (rhymes with ha/scrub) - This tiny little syllable is vital if you want to show respect and appreciation when you come to Thailand. If you're a female, you say “ka” and if you're a male, you say “krub”. It is basically the universal word for 'please' and 'thank you', and all politeness in general tied into one."
