I loved that driftwood cabin ! I'll bet you could have spent all day there and not seen everything there was to see. How cool. I love tagging along on your boat journeys. I hope many more folks find your channel and subscribe. So much to enjoy here, and to learn. Thanks, Ray. Cheers !

Trev said he can't wait for your stick art. Especially your aardvark 😂 And yep, I spotted that eagle right away ❤ 🦅❤

Loved the video! We saw our sign at the cabin with the picture of boat! Octopus islands are always a great stop!

So glad you found the cabin...quite an exhibit isn't it. Our Bremerton YC driftwood piece and BYC burgee showed above the left side porch window as you first approached the cabin. We were there with 3 other BYC boats in '17, but had been there several times before. We even anchored in/near where you anchored in Wyatt Bay one time. There's an old abandoned TT further down the bay that the bears/coyotes/raccoons have apparently had their way with.

I liked the tree stump done up like an octopus just inside the door but we didn't get a good look at it. It would have been funny if you'd found one for your own boat in a previous life...

Thanks again for sharing your adventures! What beauty! The driftwood cabin is very cool! The anchoring app is a great idea. I can see not trusting it 100% though. There is a good reason for having a watch at sea (or at anchor).

11:08 Any idea what kind of boat that is? Looks like a Fleming.
@LoveYourRV Жыл бұрын
Could have been, not sure. Might have been a Selene, Krogen or North Pacific. See lots of those cruising around here too. In my next video I show the dock at a fancy little marina in Blind Channel. Across from us were 2 Flemings, nice boats.

Thanks Ray, Question about the anchor for the big boat. How do you know how much weight the anchor is to hold the boat in place on the water? Cheers from Calgary.
So now that you've had a couple months boating. Do you have an opinion as to what you like better.....the Cougar or the boat?
@justsomeguy6474 Жыл бұрын
Not really fair yet I know. You have so many great systems installed in the trailer that you don't on the boat.

Yeah, hard to say after such a short period. So far its loads of fun. We have lived in the RV fulltime 12 years and still love it. Not sure yet if that could be said for the boat, still in the new phase. I definitely wouldn't want to spend a winter in BC on it. But I think it will work out great to do both. About 4 months on the boat in the late spring, summer early fall in BC will be awesome and then 8 months in the RV heading south for the winter.
